  1. Correct. After his starts are complete with Gwinnett he will go to the starting rotation.
  2. Mark Bowman ‏@mlbbowman Braves have optioned Medlen to Gwinnett and recalled Jose Constanza. Medlen will make 2-3 starts before joining ATL rotation.
  3. That's their replacement for Crawford? Smdh.
  4. Those unis are terrible and unoriginal. Looks like they just too the Dolphins colors.
  5. http://blogs.ajc.com/jeff-schultz-blog/2011/09/30/braves-make-the-right-call-fire-larry-parrish/?cxntfid=blogs_jeff_schultz_blog Braves reverse field, make right call firing Larry Parrish 3:56 pm September 30, 2011, by Jeff Schultz Fredi Gonzalez said Thursday that his entire coaching staff would be back, including hitting coach Larry Parrish. Either he changed his mind or somebody changed it for him. The Braves announced today that Parrish will not be back after one horrible season. Who ever made the decision — Gonzalez or general manager Frank Wren — it was the correct one. (Wren announced the decision on the news release but that’s fairly standard.) There was no excuse for the Braves’ offensive woes for much of this season. It can be debated just how much blame or credit a hitting coach should get for a player’s fortunes. But the team’s shortcomings were so glaring this season that a change seemed unavoidable. The news release was brief: ATLANTA, Ga. – Atlanta Braves Executive Vice President and General Manager Frank Wren announced today that hitting coach Larry Parrish will not return for the 2012 season. A search for a new hitting coach will begin immediately. The remainder of the Braves staff, including bench coach Carlos Tosca, pitching coachRoger McDowell, first-base coach Terry Pendleton, third-base coach Brian Snitker and bullpen coach Eddie Perez, will all return for 2012.
  6. I don't see how anyone would want to trade for Lowe. Think about it, if you're a GM of a team, why would you bring him in? Can someone PLEASE sell me on Derrek Lowe?
  7. Yup. Just wait until you hear Buck and Mazzone on 680. "They had an amazing first half! Fredi did such a great job!"
  8. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this team doesn't hold people accountable. I doubt they make any significant moves, Fredi, Parrish, AND Derrek Lowe will all be part of the 2012 Braves. We get to hear more excuses though! Yay!
  9. Get me in on that too please. Not that they will listen because they do not believe in accountability, but anything I can do to negatively affect his job status I'll do.
  10. If Lowe is back on this team it will not change my perception of them. You cannot say you are a contender and have him as a starting pitcher.
  11. Just a bunch of chokers. If they are really serious about being a contender, they will open up their pockets and actually hold someone accountable for this pathetic year.
  12. I've never seen such a massive chokejob in my life. Here's to another four years of crappy baseball.
  13. That's ALOT of if's. I love this team and I will always root for them, but I'm sorry, after this choke job it's really hard to have faith in them. God forgive me, but it is. If Derrek Lowe is still on this team next year, I cannot believe they are serious about changing about being a contender.
  14. Christian Martinez? Oh my God I'm crossing my fingers here.
  15. I'm not so sure the Braves do anything of note outside two minor moves and more excuses. I'm sorry, it just doesn't seem like this team holds anyone accountable.
  16. So....pitcher spot is coming up. What do we do?
  17. Totally agree. This doesn't need to go into extra innings. Get the win and get out of here!
  18. If I tried my best, I couldn't have written anything better. Great post.
  19. This is a waste of time. You all know as well as I do no one will be fired or held accountable. They will applaud the great first half to the season and Fredi will be here another four years. We will also hear on 680 how great Fredi is when we all know otherwise. I'm not saying I agree, I'm just saying this is reality.
