  1. DQ's the HC, and ultimately the final decision is his to make, but forgive me for not buying that he was targeting a D-II DE from a school with barely a program and a lil Caesars meal plan. On top of that, knowing that rush end is a need on this team, the only plan with this guy is to tack 25 more lbs on him and see what happens.
  2. Now we see why he jumped to take Comisky. It appears to me that he was chomping at the bit a little to take the hometown kid. But whatever. I'm over the fact that the guy is even on the roster, but taking him where they did in the 4th, I hope this doesn't become a TD picked with his heart and not with his head situation. We'll see.
  3. I don't understand how folks can look at Rico's body of work and come to any conclusion that puts him in the same ballpark as Kazee. One of the things I couldn't stand about Rico was he always seemed to be just one step behind on plays. A step late, but rarely on time. Now that we have somebody who has displayed the ability to not only sniff out plays, but be on time to make a play on the ball, we want to hand the position back over to Rico? I think Rico's an ok player, but not special.
  4. That would be solid draft. Love the Winovich & Montgomery picks. The only thing that prevents this from being a very good draft is the Lawrence pick at 14. Not sure he's going to be a good pro. He has potential, but I'm leaning towards him being a mediocre talent.
  5. The Falcons need to be better at identifying and drafting DT talent, not spending top dollar in FA for it. That's how you stay in cap ****.
  6. I just don't know? I look at our payroll, especially on defense, and I just don't see it. With the exception of Grady, Tak and Deon, we have nothing good going at all three levels on D. We need upgrades at DL, LB & secondary. OL is hurting too, but defense is the more pressing need.
  7. I've seen Mel do a helluva lot worst in his 1.0 mocks. The kid is a baller. I would be shocked if they went this route, but upset, no.
  8. You can bring up that one particular series all you want, but none of that has anything to do with the series of calls he made when the game mattered most. When you have a 10 year veteran at QB, with an MVP under his belt, give him a chance to make a play. That last series were some of the worst calls I had ever seen. You can try all day, but truth is they're inexcusable. You bring up dropped passes like we were the only ones who had them. I can think of at least 3 Philly dropped passes off the top of my head that would've easily went for first downs. That's not an excuse. Nice try, but t
  9. Feel free to flame away at Vic, I'm not going to stop you, but while you're at it make sure you all save some fire for Trufant, Keanu and Allen, basically the entire secondary. My issue with Allen is going to be short, because I'm just tired of seeing him out there and it's a waste of time at this point. He's too reactionary, never seems to be in place and diagnosing what the QB is doing, only responding to it. Keanu missed quite a few tackles yesterday. Not sure if the cold had anything to do with it, but he was not his normal sure-tackling self? The dropped INT that turned into a 20 yd
  10. I hear what you're trying to say, but you're making excuses for an otherwise inexcusable set of calls. Yes, the OL played bad yesterday, especially the interior, but it wasn't like there weren't opportunities to make plays. Every play isn't going have a clean pocket with perfect throwing lanes. Sometimes you have to play through it. The OL was bad, but they at least gave us a chance to win at the end. Sark did not. I was ok with the 1st down 1o1 fade attempt to Julio, but after that Sark basically shyte the bed. He went into college play call mode and neither of those last 3 plays we
  11. Stupid *** call. No sense in moving the pocket rt there. 2nd down call was stupid too
  12. Yes, their WR corp is very good, but the biggest concern for me is their DL. We have good DBs of our own who matchup well against their WRs, but OL is the one place where we don't have an answer. Ben Garland has been atrocious and has been getting his lunch taken/eaten since he came in for Levitre, and Philly has arguably the best DL in the league. I thought Matt took a pretty good beating last week against the Rams. If we don't come with a good gameplan to get the ball out he could take another one this week. That part comes down to Sark, who worries me too. I think we can stop thei
  13. Takk looks very promising. I think the game is starting to slow down for him. You can see him really thinking about situational football v. just running around like his hair is on fire. You just get the feeling that he knows what he's doing now. Jury is out on Duke. He just needs to be locked in the film room, and not be allowed to come out until we're able to change his name to Professor. If the light ever does come on for him, lookout because he has the speed to be special. I think Kazee has already become a steady contributor. His ST play has been really good of late. In the last
  14. Then that's scary! Play calls are supposed to be predicated on what the defense is doing, not how good your kicker is. Knowing that we're playing to kick FGs is frustrating
