  1. Exactly, at least Norwood was still standing and playing at the end of both his seasons!
  2. Please enough already...this is like the 7th Billick thread started! Here is the down low on Billick: 9 seasons with Ravens 1 SB, 4 playoff appearences, 80-64 record. Never had a top 10 offense, usually had his team in the bottom 10 in offense (not good for an offensive guru), his defenses were always top 10, but he never controlled them, he had Marvin Lewis and Rex Ryan over 9 seasons as the DC! He is a pompous self- absorbed SOB whose head swelled after his SB win according to local papers and media in the Wash, Balt, metro area, where I live (northern VA). According to recent articles the papers and media around here his players have lost confidence in him and publicly declared they wanted change...This is the reason he was fired folks, once you lose the players (a.ka. Bobby Petrino) your done! Is this what we want around here? **** no! An offensive guru (who is no guru at all), a pompous self-absorbed coach who let the NFL films in during training camp after their SB season, who has lost control of his players? Let me reiterate **** NO...Rex Ryan maybe?
  3. You know Pigtrino actually got the right OC, DC, in place in my opinion, it was him that was f##ked up! They wouldn't be bad choices for those two positions!
  4. I provide 'informed opinions' based on information I have come across. The origin of 'insider info' should not be disclosed on a message board. I present my 'informed' opinion on this board and the posters can evaluate, accept or cast aside.. I try to be timely in the informed opinions I provide such as the December 10th Petrino is gone thread in which no one believed at first, but always in due time despite skeptics, it usually (not necessarily always) turns out to be right.. I am not Nostradamus, and I may get something wrong..Reporters get stories wrong as well or columnists. However, I am usually right more times than not... OK, ATL-75 I hear what you are saying. In order to put me more at ease, can you at least indicate whether your source has first hand access to front office information? Because as of now, it looks more like you have read this info on some site and simply passed it on. It's not on a site or we'd all find it...And I wouldn't want to be his so-called informer friend wink, wink, because what kind of friend runs out and spews information that was told in confidance! Let's go out and spew everything my friend told me so I can look great on a message board and in the interim GET HIM FIRED!
  5. Lol Norwood and Snelling good one. Norwood doesn't even have enough carries to qualify for YPC average. He is far from a proven every down back. Once again, Justin Fargas was TOP 5 in the ENTIRE NFL in rushing yards before he got hurt. He may not be flashy but sounds like a player making plays. They also have the several other backs that I have mentioned. Clearly a team who had a running back who was top 5 in the league in rushing and a team that finished TOP SIX in the ENTIRE NFL in rushing has problems elsewhere. The Raiders have glaring holes on the defensive front and they will be staring in the face of the son of one of one of the greatest Raiders of all-time. You're just exercising wishful thinking if you think despite all of that, they will take Darren McFadden. I'm the one last year that was hoping APs injuries would allow him to fall to number 8 and it almost happened! So I feel where your coming from with DMAC, is he, or isn't he, a franchise RB? That remains to be seen! I think we should take the plunge if he is there, however, he is not quite as fast, or strong as AP. Franchise RBs do not grow on trees...many have been selected early only to bust (last case in point Reggie Bush) so proceed with caution! The ironic thing bbib is, McFadden could be available at our spot and we pass over him for Jlong, Dorsey, god forbid Brohm/Ryan, the only good thing about that is there are some good RBs in this draft that can be had for a lot less salary!
  6. Listen prognostications are great when you hit them it makes you look like a genius in the eyes of the members, but when you miss entirely you lose credibility with the board. I hit a big one myself once saying Gibbs was coming out of retirement to coach the Falcons and as it turned out I was right, until Spurrier resigned at the most inoppertune time. So I'm not saying your wrong, I want Singletary as well, but wishing it, or knowing it, are two different things. The more of these forecasts you make the more likely you will miss more often than not, so be careful with the bold predictions!
  7. He may not have. He only had 3 weeks left in the season, and they couldn't install a completely different system and have any hope of it working. He used Petrino's system out of necessity. That's not to say that's a bad thing -- I actually like the system itself. I'd like to mix in more power running, but we're not built for that. At any rate, given what Hue did with Petrino's playbook, I am confident that he can put together a playbook and offensive system that will work well for us. I agree! I think Hue would run a very proficient offense as an OC...I also like the fact he tried to implement the hurry up early in games as well!
  8. As Singletary's OC I have no problem with! I'm not sure Garrett could comand the respect that Singletary could get with the players!
  9. If you want to throw 50 times a game...second highest team to NO and Drew Brews in pass attempts! We do not need the greatest show on turf! We need a balanced offensive team, one that keeps their D' off the field! Martz led offenses do not like to run the ball! Everywhere Martz's offenses have been his teams D' are in the bottom 5! This year dead last...377.6 yards a game. And you ask why? Because his offenses score quick, they don't control the clock, they made their D' take the field more than their offense does...Please people enough of this nonsense, this is not how you build a winner!
  10. What does last night prove? That he cant play well when he gets hit right after he gets the snap? You guys are so fickle. It proves that when up against REAL teams, he's not that good. It's awesome to throw for 500 yards and 5 TDs against North California Tech A&M Community College For People Who Can't Speak English Good but when you play an actual football team you fold like oragami. I love how people are saying "You can't judge Colt Brennan on last night's performance" against a REAL team but we are supposed to judge him on 3 years worth of work against a bunch of ****** ones. Makes a whole lot of sense to me. no it showed that Hawaii isnt a good team it showed nothing of colt brennan u could throw tom brady in for colt brennan with the same pressure colt was getting and get the same results. colt could do nothing w/ his o-line they didnt even touch the D-line all game find me a QB in the NFL that gets sacked 8 times a game and wins the football game without a running game. colt showed heart by not giving up and showed that hawaiis line is wack...thats the bottom line Good post! You hit the nail on the head...He still has the Senior Bowl and the combine to show off his talents what a great pick he would be in 2nd or 3rd round!
  11. Can you imagine if Cleveland got anything close to the Schaub trade for Anderson...What a coup that would be for Cleveland...I guess there are suckers born every minute as P.T. Barnum used to say!
  12. If he's there in the 4th why not? Two things I noticed though he doesn't hit the hole very quick (bad with the Falcons O-Line, same trouble with Dunn) and he seems to go down a lot with first contact, not good for a 232 lb, RB, but in the 4th sure work him out!

When lovie and martz were together they had a good defense. Its not a fact that his offense will make your def bad.Martz is a winner. He has won.You dont like his offense?Fine but he can coach. It's one dimensional! In St. Louis he had a HOF in Faulk and they threw to him constantly and Faulk complained about running the Ball more...St. Louis had defensive difficulties throughout their run that was one of Vermeil's complaints and it continued when Martz took over at HC which led to his firing there! I want balance you see what happened to detroit this year their D' wore down 6-2 turned into 7-9 (defense on the field way too long) and they had the worse run offense in the NFC and 2nd worse in the entire league 80.5 yards a game! No thank you!

  15. Plus, you failed to mention down the stretch when Cleveland was in the wildcard hunt and the pressure was on Anderson he only had a QB rating of 80 once in those last 5 games where Cleveland went 3-2 and missed the playoffs with this schedule: 12/02 4:05pm @ ARI L 21-27 12/09 4:15pm @ NYJ W 24-18 12/16 1:00pm BUF W 0-8 12/23 1:00pm @ CIN L 14-19 12/30 1:00pm SF W 7-20 That's not murderer's row...He should've excelled against these teams but the playoff pressure got to him!

  17. Their fans know what a weak product they have at 9-7 from a week division! They'll be out fishing or boating or doing yard work, whatever? For once (maybe twice) we agree on something although only the casual fans will be the ones fishing or doing yard work.............LOSERS! Aside from the BUCS-Falcons game. While it's totally obvious that the NFC South was at it's weakest since it's inception. Many fans don't understand how important #7 (NOT THAT #7) is to us winning games. Without Garcia this season we could have easily have finished 5-11 with all the injuries we had. In our 15th game Gruden chose to sit Garcia early. Many fans were pissed off. Later in the 4th quarter Maurice Stovall (a fine young possession receiver from Notre Dame) broke his arm.....OUT UNTIL NEXT SEASON! What if that had been Garcia? We had the division locked up and were guaranteed a home game to open the playoffs and had no chance for the 1 or 2 seed and a bye. Gruden HAD TO SIT GARCIA! With him in there I'm sure we would've finished 11-5. What if he was injured in one of those last 2 games? We would've been toast in the playoffs. We are not yet strong enough to win without a very good QB and he;s the ONLY one we have. I actually agree with your reply...****, I hate when we agree!:hehe:
  18. So your saying Anderson is worth more than Schaub? The two 2s plus a player no way! The only thing Anderson did was shrink his value with his play down the stretch. In the playoff hunt Cleveland went 2-3 down the stretch where he failed to reach an 80 QB rating in all but one game and Cleveland failed to make the playoffs. I would consider him but for a lot less than Cleveland is asking!
  19. No, nobody is better than Mora senior!...Playoffs, playoffs! "You don't know, you think you know, but you don't know" "****, we're just hoping we can win another game, are you kidding me" there are many Moraisms!
  20. That's not quite true. JAM was hurt the 99' season and came back to have a 1000 yards in the 00' season so we thought he was on his way back. In 01' the team drafted Vick and Jam subsequently went on to blow out his other knee against the Cardinals. If we'd only knew, but hindsight is 20/20 they say...so you can see we had no intentions of drafting an RB with JAM back and Reeves liked RB Maurice Smith at the time as well!
  21. People need to relax on Anderson. He was a TE early in college converted to DE and only started midway through his sophomore year when Anthony Brown went down with an injury. He went on to record 10.5 sacks as he started to dominate in college he left after his junior year! So this guy has played 1 1/2 seasons at DE in college skipped his senior season and you want to declare him a bust. Question who had the most tackles on the D-Line this year? Nope your wrong, it was rookie DE Jamaal Anderson, who has taken a lot of heat for not recording a sack yet but Anderson has 34 tackles, more than any other defensive lineman on the team. So give the rook a break considering he was really playing his senior season which would've only given him 2 1/2 year of DE experience!
  22. Disagree! You can't judge him on last night...****, but Tom Brady in there last night and he couldn't done anything! Georgia knew he was throwing every time, Hawaii should at least put a RB in the backfield to block and make it look like they were going to run...bad game plan by Jones! Agree 100%. You cannot judge this guy by 1 game after years of success in college. Jones put in a 1 dimensional game plan against a far superior squad. I guess based on the boards reaction today, every NFL QB should be cut after 1 bad game. The guy can play, has a strong arm, 71% completion rate and is accurate. He might go late first day but someone is going to take him and behind a good OL with a running attack, he will do just fine in the NFL. Good post, right on target! We'll get to see what he's really made of in the Senior bowl!
  23. Haha, I totally agree. This game cost him a few millions because his draft stock will drop way down. These games are make or break when it comes to impressing NFL scouts. Just look at JaMarcus Russell. Had a good season, but it was that great bowl game that elevated him to that high draft pick No, no, not quite! He'll be judged more by the Senior bowl when the best players are put together such as OL and a running game! He can't be judged by last night where he had no running game to offset the passing game. He had a little over 1 second each time, Gerorgia had their ears pinned back because they knew he was passing every play...****, Tom Brady couldn't have done any more in a game where Hawaii was clearly outmatched!
