  1. Michael Turner was never number 1 in San Diego and he did really well here. I see a lot of similarities. If Davis is even close to Turner and now that we have a coach who actually believes in the running game then we are in MUCH better shape than we were.

    MIKE DAVIS

Just watched a bit of the 2020 game between TB and Carolina to get a look at RB Mike Davis in action. He looked pretty good , even though he is usually a backup . He is pretty shifty and quick, but doesn't appear to be a short yardage back, although I didn't see him much in that role. He seemed to be an adequate , and willing pass blocker, and he was a good receiver out of the backfield. He had a gruesome looking thumb injury and had to go to the locker room, but came back out and played in the second half. I would be interested for comments from someone with first hand knowledge of his a

Watch the Falcons Panthers game from last year that got TD and DQ fired minutes later. In fact, as a Falcon fan, DONT watch the game, just check out the highlights. Pay close attention to the 4th quarter where dude seemed to get about 5 times stronger.

  6. He's ok in short yardage, but he's looking a little stronger this off season. I think he's preparing. Ollison was decent in short yardage

  7. 2018 Matt had MVP level stats. Top 10 offense. All passing tho. Run game was bottom ten as was defense.

So Davis has to prove it on the field to be in the top 20, but Gono doesn't?

  12. Look I know it's a schtick we all do but when fans of big market teams complain about the media and refs it's like listening to Ben Shapiro bemoan how the system is stacked against white men. I don't care what Knicks fans say. You can hear the disappointment even in a top tier professional like Doris Burke (and TNT was way worse) that the Knicks seem unable to make an interesting series out of this and the nights at MSG are probably going to be limited.

  15. The biggest problem for Falcons has been poor starts in first 5 games of the season. NFL odds of a winning season drop dramatically after a 1-4 start and almost impossible to make playoffs with 0-5 start. Falcons have NFL worst, 2-13 Record under DQ for first five games from 2018-2020. The big part of the reason for starting slow has been. the historically worse defense during those first 5 weeks. Three year Historic dumpster D in first five weeks (2018-2020) The defense wasn't just bad, it was historically one of. the worst. Two of those defenses in past 3 years rank in 3 of the w

I really do think that Schumer is making a play to eliminate the filibuster and is using votes on the Jan 6 commission and voting rights to force Manchin’s and other’s hands. “Find the 10 Republicans to break the filibuster on these bills or let’s stop pretending and delaying this any longer.”

  19. Sounds like other clubs are trying to fleece us to acquire Julio... we take part of the salary? Yeah right man smh. I hate how the media acts like the Falcons should bend over backwards so that one of their teams can acquire Julio dirt cheap like f*** us.

  23. The report says future first rounder so maybe their 2023 first rounder and a 2022 second and a player or they make moves to take on the contract. I don't have an ounce of a clue but it's odd that Wilson is the only QB that a conversation became public, reportedly

  29. I’m just not married to any players like that anymore. Even the greatest of all Falcons, and my favorite in all my 53 years, Matt. If he puts up numbers this year, but the team can’t get it done in the win column and get in the playoffs, I fully expect they’ll think hard about trading him next offseason, even though they take the cap hit. I might literally shed tears, but I’d get the long term thinking.

  32. Looked it up. Essentially he had to agree to a new contract which would leave more of the money with Denver than the first contract. TIM TEBOWQB, NEW YORK JETS The Jets' trade for Tim Tebow won't become official until Saturday due to another contract technicality. Tebow must sign a re-written contract and stay on the Broncos' salary cap for 24 hours. His press conference in New York has been delayed until Monday, but he's already toured the facility and participated in a conference call with local m

Thought there would be more NY fans and them be louder. Nice to see Atl embrace these guys. Fun group to watch and the fans were awesome. let’s finish this thing

  35. Don’t worry if the offense doesn’t perform the new HC QB and OC will be chastised very quickly by the experts here. If you don’t believe it make a note of it and get back with me. It’s just a matter of time before they pound the rise up.

  36. Not to be a negative Nancy but the Falcons defense made just about everyone look good. On a side note if you were to compile NFL history highlights of offenses running over people, whiffed tackles, and blown coverages I wonder what percent would be against a Falcons defense?

  37. I freely admit I was hyped about the hiring of Dan Quinn. He was one of the most sought-after HC candidates at that time, and he had SB credentials as the Seahawks DC. I made the erroneous assumption Quinn was the mastermind behind the LOB, not the caretaker whose main job was to cheerlead and stay tf out of the way. My enthusiasm for Arthur Smith has a much more credible base because he's coming from a coordinator position where he was the actually creator and hands-on tactician of the Titan offensive system. As a plus, he has gotten this team the best DC its maybe ever had in Dean Pees.

  40. That '80 playoff game against Dallas was a real heart-crusher. I really think we had the best team in the NFL that year. If we win that game we win the SB IMO. I remember John Madden saying that year when he did the Atlanta/NE game that us in that game was the best team he saw all year.

  41. The more likely scenario is we say, "Nope" to both of their offers and stick to what's best business for the Falcons...We're not paying any salary, and the price is a 1st, or we keep him. We're fine either way... Accepting either of those offers is desperation, and nothing so far suggests the new regime does desperate things...

  42. Julius Randall being touted as a big star to watch coming into these entire playoffs despite being just an okay basketball player kinda tells you all you need to know If Trae were a Knick you'd never see so much freaking hype in your life. Not that Trae hasn't been getting love but...well you remember when Jeremy Lin had a good run for like all of two weeks of the regular season and it wasn't really anything special but it was just a nice couple of efforts and it broke the national media for like 10+ days and nights...yeah
