  1. They sent dad home this evening. His symptoms were mild enough for them to not admit him to the icu. Since there is a shortage of ICU beds they just gave him some stuff and sent him on his way. I am hoping this a wake up call for him to be more careful.

  2. At this point you need to see what Ollison actually looks like in a game and not just practice. What can it hurt? It’s not like having him involved will make our run game and pass blocking any worse. Just my .02

  3. He will soon be passed over by Brohm, Henne, Stafford, Bradford, RGIII, Luck, Newton, Wentz, Bortles, Mariota, Maziel, Carr, Goff. Winston, Locker, Lynch, Tebow, Freeman, Dalton, Smith, Sanchez, Locker, Ponder, Kaepernick, Trubisky, Weeden, Garapolo, Bridgewater, Watson etc etc etc. You know, all the other surefire HOF QBs that are easy draft picks every year.

  8. Whatever your feelings on Ryan are at this point in his career, people should be giving him credit for this. It takes a special kind of player to have the career he has had up until this point and to consistently be there for us after all the bad Olines he's had over the yrs.

  9. I think that Matt Ryan and Julio Jones deserve to play out their 3 year contracts. If it was up to me I would take our top 5ish draft picks and try to build the championship caliber roster that Matt and Julio deserve. Try to draft good defensive players and a running back or two. I would try to build a top 10 defense and rushing attack that they deserve to help them out.

  12. I'm convinced that its a culturally inherited mindset. Like, how your whole temperament changes when you walk into a courtroom, hospital, church or beach resort. Where you are, generally dictates how you act. It's going to take a complete clean-out and culture change. Kyle Shanahan was a glimpse of this. He had an "all business" attitude and was not "fun". He was vilified in his 1st season because nobody wanted to be serious about football all the time and nobody wanted to believe that his schemes would pay off. "Year 2 Kyle" was a monster. He didn't GAF about being anybody's buddy and wa

  13. I don't think that the Falcons can afford to do anything other than go all-in on Matt Ryan. I think that the first priority of the new regime will be to get him a restructure/extension with a significant pay cut. The salary cap is going to go down hard over the next two years, and the only way that this team can survive the cap problems is going to be to restructure Ryan. We might be in a better situation with Jones, and I certainly wouldn't restructure/extend Jones. Coaching and culture is going to make or break the next 5 years. IMHO, the culture problem starts with Blank, and the

  14. As regards QBs who don't have a Ring and are in the Hall of Fame, only Marino and Tarkenton rate higher in HoF worthiness per the PFR tool that attempts to normalize stats and all levels of achievement across eras. They have him higher than Fouts, Moon and Kelly; all HoF QBs without a ring. He should've been a PB in 2018 for sure and that; plus the SB51 ring lost obviously, lowers his career rating some, but he still has a top 15 career among QBs all-time; as of today. He'll pass Rivers among active players on this list; as his career will go longer (unless Rivers wins a ring; u

    Notes 12/21

Here is the problem, in today's twitter/app/instant news world, players make news not teams. Media drives the narrative about "players" because that drives viewership, which drives endorsements and jersey sales, and ticket prices and TV deals, which drives NFL revenue which drives money money money. This stuff is simple honestly. Look at all the clowns here who were excited about Gurley coming to Atlanta because he was a UGA player. A single player did that but a single player does not a team make in football. Football is a team sport more than Basketball, more than baseball and more than

All of that and now that you are on the back 9 of your career, We still believe you are one of the better QBs in this league and we want to help you get a shot at a championship by giving you a running game and building a Defense around you...... Saying that we are going to need your help with that because your money on the bookslike it is,It will not allow us to do that" One of TDs biggest things that bothered m

    The Locker Room

Frustrated, sure. And disappointed with how the season has gone, and how the past few seasons have gone. They're human. But I don't think that's translated into dissension in the locker room. If anything, going through hard times tends to tighten the bond you have with your team mates, not weaken it. The reason the team keeps falling apart in the second half? First off, there is more than one reason. The main thing I see is the offense has no running option and eventually the pass blocking caves in. The defensive backfield is still pretty young and vulnerable. Our soft defense works prett

  43. I don't get it, the only way you are drafting this high again is if you have another terrible season or trade tons of draft picks to move up. You chances of getting a top 3 QB in 2022, 2023 will be far less drafting if you are 8-8 next year. Matt Ryan had a good career and made over 250 million playing QB, but he is not the QB of the future. It seems like people care more about keeping #2 than winning and creating the best environment for the next coaching staff and GM to have success in Atlanta. Watching last Sunday was like watching a re-run of the 2016 Superbowl how many times do we
