  1. Combined with him reaching out to Forney to train for a month AND getting Kaleb in for some work after he saw the benefits? Pros pro.

  3. https://theathletic.com/1978973/2020/08/06/schultz-why-grady-jarrett-is-the-way-he-is-and-why-falcons-need-more-like-him/ Before anybody knew really who Grady Jarrett was, before he helped elevate a floundering college football program to a national force and an NFL team to near Super Bowl champion, he was off the grid. Major college scouts never ventured out to Conyers because Rockdale County High School wasn’t a Georgia program known to produce high-level talent. The program had one winning season in Jarrett’s four years. Nobody was going to come to watch him. So he went to them.

No hard feelings here. Football is a tough sport to play and it takes a special kind of commitment to play at a high level. He was a key part of our 2016 season and I wish him nothing but the best. I met him at training camp during his rookie season and he was the nicest guy. He spent a ton of time signing autographs for all the kids.

  7. I know me and @achilles return have had our differences but I'm not one to leave a man hanging. I'm pinching my nose and joining team AR just so I'll have a chance to put the white snoop dog in a headlock.

  9. Oh I don't know if I'd say hands down. Both are arguably top five at their positions. Debo has ended a couple games that Grady hasn't. But give me 11 of either of them and I'm ready to go to war.

DOB had an interesting tidbit. Minter is crediting Tomlin for fixing him. He said the two worked out together all shut down and Tomlin really got in his head. Taught him to trust his stuff and himself.

  13. https://theathletic.com/1979513/2020/08/06/examining-emerging-pieces-of-falcons-offense-through-the-eyes-of-matt-ryan/ Just a few days into the Falcons’ training camp, Matt Ryan said the pulse of the team is at a steady pace. The energy levels are high, and the players and coaches are excited to be back on the field and willing to do what needs to be done to see the 2020 season played. But in his first media availability of training camp, much more could be gleaned about the emerging pieces of the Falcons’ offense through his eyes and in his own words than anything else. Ryan

  17. It's amazing to me how many of those folks stick together. I had a friend on FB recently point out that never-Trump Republicans and Biden supporters all seem to coalesce around Trump's foreign policy more than his domestic policy. That's not true of voters, based on my observation. But in terms of institutions? It seems the war machine is hungry.

  20. I think this may be the most talented offense we have had (on paper), like you said, its all up to the players playing their best and health. If the coaches can get the most out of them, this team has a high ceiling.

  21. just lolin' that when jdaveg was bumping up his membership level purely out of spite and doing the whole "if you're drawing up battlelines don't be surprised who you see on the other side" thing his money was being used for lapierre's latest kitchen remodeling

This is flat-out untrue. Every player in the NFL had the option to opt out of the season due to COVID and receive a stipend. He did not opt out. He's simply no-showing a team that took a chance on him and was trying to give him the opportunity to show he can produce. Wouldnt be surprised if he announced his retirement shortly. It has nothing to do with COVID, the guy really just doesn't care for playing football.

  25. Maybe the first piece of evidence that this 'Brotherhood' thing that DQ has instilled is actually a thing. Not knocking other teams or the players that have opted out, but this does feel like this group of players are invested in 2020 and DQ.

NFL ownerships been stealing money for years. Players get Theres and there stealing now now. What about NCAA uni football programs robbing players making squidillions off of the back of the mentioned. Don’t do it trust me these players aren’t stealing from anybody. If you’ve got a shelf life maximise and move on they owe nothing to the game. The game owes them.

  27. I give it too 97 because he just hasn’t had a down year hasn’t been injured and is getting better and better every year since he’s been drafted. He’s the lynchpin in the trenches for us. Debo’s there but for me last year he was a bit up n down. Jarrett was a beast and as above is just getting better and better. Id also love to have 11 of them but realistically we are going to get 3 maybe 4 either side of the ball.
