  1. Ty or Gono can hold down the position until McGary is up to speed. There's a reason Stocker and Paulsen are on the roster. They could also run some 6 OLinemen sets The OLine as a whole will look better with some game planning.

    DQ on Bailey and Davison

Was telling some people during the offseason when we signed Davison I had no clue who ole boy was but saw a tweet from Cam Jordan talking about how upset he was that Tye left. That caught my attention. Went and watched him a bit and I think this dude is going to be a low key, under the radar, SOLID addition to this line. Bailey looks like a freaking monster too, dude plays with an urgency we don't really see outside of Grady on our line.

  3. Scrimmage Notes: Injuries: Swift and Justin Young were dressed out and running on the sidelines all of practice. Nakobe Dean was also dressed out but didn't participate nor did he run on the sideline from what I saw. Rian Davis was in a black no contact jersey and Trezman Marshall was also limited. There didn't seem to be any serious injuries during the scrimmage outside of the typical bumps and bruises. Anyone who got shaken up got up quickly and came back on the field. Format: These practices are hectic and there are groups moving all over the field almost all the time. The

  5. Ryan said the skins game will be game planned "almost" like a regular season game.. Alot of install for this game.. Gono is getting the start, Ryan says he likes Gono, says hes seen a huge improvement, says Gono has a great work ethic, and Gono is quite and comes to practice to work. To me, this game is a big deal for me and it should be for Gono.. If Gono has a good game, i believe he starts at least till McGary is ready.. I think this is going to be the biggest position to watch. Im pulling for Gono!

  7. I thought Harlow and Schitwizer have both had really below par games this preseason. Neither one of these cats look like they are NFL quality players. Both have been bowled over more than the guy in front of Rosie O'Donnell at the all you can eat buffet.

  8. Watching and seeing the Cominsky hype has brought back memories of one of my favorites players from the Mike Smith era, but a guy who always seemed to be polarizing. Kroy was a late flyer that turned his opportunity into 8 seasons with the same team and a lot of solid players on some really good teams. He got bashed a lot due to the reality TV gig as well as the fact that we probably hung on to him a year too long, but he was the epitome of what you look for in a football player. Never took a play off and always seemed to have a solid attitude aside from the adversity. Now that Kroy's be

  17. From SoFl Dawg: “Hey guys-as we get ready to start the season, just wanted to get caught up on what seems to be happening. Insert cliche, recruiting is fluid, so expect some changes. Jordan Burch-#1 remaining target. We’re in good spot. 3 team race UGA, carolina schools. Our pitch has been to use him as a DL/OLB which he likes, 5T-W9 depending on situation. The camp doesn’t talk much but we believe his mother really loves USC and UGA “now”. Burch really loved CU and now strongly likes UGA. CU dropped the ball in their pursuit of M. 24. No actually ppl drug Chester and hated him as was glad he retired. They didn’t realize how good he was til he was gone. Most not all. I was giving him props while he was here and folks were telling me how much he sucked. Being the worst linemen on a good line doesn’t mean he was bad. There’s always a weak link but when the weak link is above average wtf can you ask for. Also he was an excellent run blocker. The right side of the line is usually your better run blockers since that’s the strong side typically and the better pass blockers are on the left side so by default you’ll give a little mo

  27. I don't get the Tavecchio hate. It's en vogue right now because he replaced the beloved Bryant. But let's just ignore his first kick was tipped and the second just missed. Misses are going to happen. Bryant wasn't auto on 50+ neither. Tavecchio just hit a 56 yarder on primetime TV last year. I'm not worrying about him.

He and Jalen Carter are close (this is very important). He’s also close with Milton. Coach Fountain may be the MVP this cycle; definitely gets most improved."

  29. It's not really that big of a problem. The team cut Schrader, resigned Sambrialo, have been working with Gono and made a trade to draft a 1st round guy in McGary. Let's let all that work out. One preseason game does not mean the world has ended. They will fix the issues.

  30. Last 4 games of the 2018 regular season, Ty , with game planning, looked like a competent RT. In preseason, without game planning, with minimal playing time next to the RG, he looked horrible. It's why game planning is so important.

  31. There were some that were saying this weeks ago when news of Kaleb's surgery broke. They were ridiculed.... The thought of asking Ty or Gono to man this spot scares the crap out of me. Folks gotta understand our season starts off at a blistering pace with 3 straight playoff teams in Minnesota, against Philly and in Indianapolis. We don't have the luxury of starting out slow. We'll need to be ready to go from Week 1. Not preaching doom and gloom, but it's imperative our O-Line is ready for stiff competition in 2 weeks time. Maybe actual scheming and game planning makes a differe

    CB Jaylen Myrick

I met Jalen Myrick in Indy during the combine of 2017. I was taking an online scouting course at the time and we got to go to the combine that year. I was standing in one of the (many) lobbies at the JW Marriott in downtown Indy where the entire NFL is for that weekend, and Myrick walks through. He came up to me and asked me where a certain room/location was (he was going to a player interview; all of the combine interviews are held in various conference rooms throughout the Marriott that is also connected by tunnels to the Springfield and Westin hotels). I told him I had no idea where that wa

    Update on McGary & Others

Russell Gage was just in Sanu’s Snapchat about an hour ago dancing and laughing. Think he’s alright for the season.

  40. You know my stance on that. The changes he tried to make for the team didn’t fit the talent he had. And I think he was more forced into that change by the front office because the league was changing. Had he stuck to the style of play he liked he might’ve been better off. Quinn is saving himself by taking over the defense because they got away from the style he likes to play. He took on a heavy burden to save or lose his job. Nolan was a good dc. They just didn’t have the talent to fit the scheme.

  41. With a top 5 defense you don't need all of that and you can keep the game in your control instead of outside forces.

  42. Personally think top 5 is extreme. A team with both units in the top 10 should absolutely have a shot at winning the SB. Falcons were a perfectly example of a team finding it's groove at the right time and both units bringing it in the playoffs.

  44. Kroy was a really good pick. Great depth and rotational player. His problem, though no fault of his own, was he was the poster boy of Mike Smith’s inability to develop or find pass rushers. Every year it seemed ‘why do we need to upgrade the pass rush, we have Biermann?’ Granted this wasn’t the case but other than Edwards it was the lack of effort to have someone elite on the other side of Abraham. If they would have had another good pass rusher to pair with Abe and Biermann they would have had more than one playoff win... But no. After the Edwards fiasco it seemed like
