  1. As a long time Falcons fan...this is so disappointing. It sounds like fans will be paying the cost for the stadium and all its fancy gadgets. Fans do not care about fancy gadgets! We go to watch the game! I'd rather be sitting in a bare bones stadium with just other like minded fans yelling and watching the game! I do not care about wifi, huge screens, etc. If I wanted all those ammeneties, I'd just stay on my couch and watch it on the TV. The reason we go to games is to see the team play! They completely missed the mark with the new stadium, and the fanbase. The new stadium's purpose is to make it an event in Atlanta for other events to come to it (possibly Olympics, other huge events). Locking in fans for 30 years at ridiculous prices when most NFL fans are blue collar workers is not the solution. The organization really missed the mark and didn't identify with their everyday fan who goes to see the team perform.

  2. Dude said NFL games are for rich people. That is pretty infuriating, especially since it is obvious he is working on behalf of the Falcons.

  4. This is the challenge the NFL faces today and PSL's is absolutely not the answer.I'll just stubhub a game when I decide I want to go for the environment once in a while. The TV experience is just too good for me to justify the pricing.

  8. Louis Winthorpe III and wife, Muffy, were seemingly just trying to educate a broad-based audience concerning purchase of PSL's. Why does this thread not just simply die? The contest of the Have's and the Have Not's is a never ending story - just like this thread.

  9. Being locked in financially for that amount for that length of time is steep. Honestly if I had the money to fritter away on that I doubt I would do it. My blue collar heart says that is a fools errand. For that money I could build a 20 seat theatre in my home with all the amenities and still come out ahead. Its madness. And even worse, I wouldn't get first refusal to EVERY breaking event. I would want that on concerts, any sport, effing tractor pulls etc for that money. Id also want an assigned parking space, Matt Ryan to be a clown at my sons birthday and a steak dinner every event. I just cannot get my head around the PSL thing and how its even sane to ask such a thing. I guess they mist believe that Atlanta is full of Hiltons, Trump and Kardashians dying to be noticed.

  10. Damm straight bro, I will still make 1 or 2 home games a year anyhow.....I had season tickets passed thru the fam since 68, my dad was one of the originals and when he moved to NC, I picked them up even though I was living in Hawaii at the time.. ....I finally figured out I could live without them in 2008....been hitting a couple games a year ever since real cheap ....

  17. I still do! Read his auto biography a few months ago. He was zinging those one-liners throughout the entire book. Laughed my *** off! The last of the REAL Regular Guys. IMO one of the best comics of all time. A real old school comic that didn't hit his stride until later in life and spent a good portion of his time helping other aspiring young comics. A really genuine friend to those who knew him well.

  18. This is a message board, most of what we do is rant. Ideally, it should be done without personal attacks, but not everyone can post while wearing their big boy pants. You can afford PSL's - that's great. A lot of folks here can't, and they aren't happy about that. When you start the discussion on PSL's, that's where this subject will logically go.

  20. Not much else to talk about now. If you like, I could just join the chorus on "____ sux". Fill in the blank with "TD, Blank, PSLs, Atlanta fans, etc".

  21. The current Club seat holders (in the Dome) are being offered Club PSLs in the new stadium. We have until Feb 15 to commit to new Club seats, then those will be open to STH who are not currently in Club seats. The new stadium has a total of 75,000 seats, 7,500 of them are Club. The first 30 rows of the lower level seats between the 40s are Founders Club with a 45k PSL. Mega, why did you drop your season tickets before there was a PSL?

  25. Not sure I agree that there aren't that many longtime STHs in Atlanta. As bad as The Bucs have been over the years, I know there's more than a few like myself, that have had 'em since day one of the franchise. You show me where Blank is doing anything to take care of those folks, and I'll back off...a bit. But the numbers I see here are nothing short of insane for the REAL Falcon fans, and not the wine&cheese crowd that will be there for no other reason, but to be seen, and spend the $$ many of 'em made off the backs of the REAL Falcon fans.

  29. Question... If someone buys a PSL for the 30 year lease, Will they offer a seat relocation process like they currently do? Or are you locked into that seat for 30 years? If you don't want to post again I understand, you can answer in a private message if you wish.

  41. The wizened ole Sucs fan sees thru this guy.... as a large loss insurance adjuster I am neither blue nor white collar, more like a golf shirt and khakis....make a pretty good living, but they can shove these PSLs up their arse, I could squeeze them in if I wanted but I aint...... Because I spend my time between the road and my home office in my Falcon cave I can be here fkng off at this forum or in a motel room while on the road... Leave the window open between doing actual work, helps to pass the day...My time is mine to choose, other than set appts. I can work at 1 pm or 3 am as long as I get the job done.....have to check in at corporate in ATL only a couple times a month... This guy is a busy eye surgeon with a thriving practice that can spend his days fkng off at TATF shilling PSLs for the Falcons ? .Maybe he is on vacation this week with nothing better to do ? I smell a rat ....

  43. In northeast Tennessee, I am the same distance from Nashville as Atlanta. I'm actually closer to Charlotte, so if a traitor, it would be because I'm not a Panther fan. I kind of thought you would appreciate my being a Falcon fan. I spend 10 hours in my car for each home game. Seems like that devotion might be respected. And...you have my name, age, picture, occupation and area of residence. Worst. Mole. Ever. I thought children these days were supposed to be good with computers. Put your identity on the board and I bet you would quit posting things that would embarrass your parents.

  44. LOL! I'm an eye surgeon in northeast Tennessee. STH since 2007. Most PSLs will probably be $1000 unless you are in one of the club sections. A decent chunk of cash, but you have a couple of years to save it up. Doubt you would need a second mortgage for that... I read the boards from time to time, but rarely post. Just putting in my 2 cents worth now because I see bad information about something that I know more about than most who are posting.
