  1. Past hour
  2. I suspect he’ll sign a long term deal prior to 7/15. 1) He forced the Falcons hand by taking up $15M in cap space...dollars that could have theoretically been used to acquire other talent. 2) With the FA window pretty much closed though, the ball is back in Grady’s court. Play out a one-year deal with not much long term security while exposing yourself to subpar year/injury or come back to the bargaining table. 3) This feels like a good faith move leading to what I suspect will be a long term deal in the $19M AAV range with substantial guarantees.
  3. You’re right about finishing. He easily could have finished with 7 sacks in his last 7 games. Easily. I mean, even the NO game he could have had 2 sacks after winning the edge easily once and shooting the gap on a stunt on another. Those were clear wins by Vic and he simply didn’t bring down Brees
  4. Passasaurus Rex on him. I wouldn't take him with our third round pick.
  5. It’s so annoying. And ur so right. It’s a sad state of affairs.
  6. The one thing that makes me think that Biden won't get the nomination is not that he's a status quo milquetoast centrist, it's because he's all of that in an old white dude package. The Democrat establishment loves their centrists and warmongers to be sure, but they would rather them come in a bit more of a demographically diverse package like Obama and Hillary. I'm suspecting that's why they are suddenly taking such a shine to Mayor Pete.
  7. Tru-dat. Like the whole NCSU o-line. I’m shocked teams aren’t showing more interest in them.
  8. I wonder where some of the posters on this board would rank themselves on this list. LMFAO
  9. Who do you see as the eventual replacement? Saunders, Oliver, Wilkins, or someone else?
  10. 2017 he dropped a lot. He was also injured. Last season he played below his talents. He spyed a lot in 2016 and that didn’t stop him from leading the league in sacks. It’s a multitude of things. It’s possible he wasn’t responding to his last DL coach. I think he and the 1st one bonded pretty well. Now he has a new DL coach but the main thing is he’ll have Quinn full time on that side of the ball. I know it’s in him. I’ve seen it and the last 5 games he got back to Beasley mode. Heck if he just closed out a lot of the sacks he missed last season he would’ve had about 9/10. I hope he is re inspired this season
  11. You get a big body next to him he might be unleashed for real. Saw what he did in the super bowl. I think he gets doubled a lot.
  12. And this my friends is what you call leverage by the front office... adding two defensive tackles plus being poised to draft one in the first two rounds.. is a good way to get people to sign their tenders
  13. Vic is teaching him how to use the spin move.
  14. Nice find
  15. Well played
  16. Well thought out.
  17. WTF? Why would he not? $15M. Little much. But he is a falcon. LOL. What were his choices?
  18. He is forced to wear so many different hats each game. Do you think all these additional things like dropping, spying or LB are simply causing him to think a half second longer before reacting
  19. I agree. Dorsey basically jumped 13 spots just for drafting mayfield and trading for Beckham. He doesn’t have the body of work that TD does. I’d have TD at #3, behind Belichick and Colbert.
  20. The problem is that Grady is not asking for what he "deserves" but what he imagines he deserves. It seems his asking price is so high (must think he is Aaron Donald) that the best thing is happening for the Falcons: He plays this year at his best because he knows his future financial success is on the line if his performance dips The Falcons basically are paying him what they would be paying him if he did sign a big contract (although larger salary cap hit this year) He will probably test free agency next year and find out that his market value is not as big as he thinks it is The Falcons will be in a great bargaining position if he does come back to them after not getting what he is currently asking The Falcons have the opportunity to draft a replacement for him this year and have less need for him if he does find a better offer elsewhere His best years are probably now and he will probably show decline in 3 or so years based on other DT's

  22. Gary is a potential move, but who knows the Falcons board? Apparently, TD has his guy already marked, Oh, I don't doubt Dex as a pocket collapse type. Just need enough guys that can finish around him. Any voters on that? VB in final year. GJ just signed a tender and TBD on him staying here long term if we're viewing things as of today. Takk needs to become a monster, doubt VB comes back but maybe he goes off in a contract year for money. So far we got Senat and Takk signed for 2020. The DL move(s) this draft need to line up with our plans moving forward. I'm fine with 1T...I want more hybrid DE/DT depth. Don't mind rotating Jarrett to 1T and in sub-packages would love him together with EO. Dex is a fallback plan, IMO unless they really project his pass rush upside with a plan to keep GJ. That'd be fine with me, too. Just put DE off for next year and develop a 4th rounder this year? Dex at 14 OL round 2 CB round 3 EDGE round 4 etc EDIT: As @Butudontseeme™ indicated, Gary would be a reach at 14 compared to DL if you evaluate their NFL ready status compared to college production. The same reason I'm fine with moving up for EO if he falls to 6 or lower, for the right price. They both would transform our DL in certain situations in different ways with elite traits.
  23. That’s how I’m feeling about him these days too bro. I know it’s in him. Mind over matter.
  24. #1 is probably the amount that might take their ball home on election day if they think there's hanky-panky during the primaries. Really not that high a number, if you ask me.
