? d.hall?....he!! j.Williams had a heep of potential...
Yep. These guys probably have their head on straighter, but as far as pure prospects go, DeAngelo Hall was better. Jimmy Williams was right up there too, but neither of them wanted to put in the work and take coaching.
I don't mind the Trufant pick, he's going to help the team. I do hate that we traded up and gave up the third, but I also like Dimitroff getting who he wanted.
The biggest problem I have with the pick is the fact that Floyd and Ogletree could've been had. We didn't struggle against the pass last year and we still have our three ball hawks. We struggled against mobile quarterbacks and the read option. That's where Ogletree and Floyd would've helped so much more.
Trufant is going to have to be near Pro Bowl status for the pick to make sense to me.
As for the Dimitroff can't draft corners argument, I want to add that he still acquired our top three corners last year in Asante, Dunta, and Robert McClain. Just because he didn't draft them doesn't mean he can't find starting corners. Acquiring talent goes beyond just the draft.
