I am a 42yr old mortgage broker and married father of three young children.   I have "bled" the Falcon red since a very early age in life and my first real recollections of the Atlanta Falcons were in the early Bartkowski years.     My father and me would always watch the games together and invariably turn over furniture and "raise he11" about how the Falcons could always "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory" - uggh!  (as you can probably guess, I am also a University of Georgia grad and major Bulldogs Fan - Bulldogs #1-woof!)
Nevertheless, I am almost always optimistic about my Falcons and it is definitely my #1 hobby.   I have been a season-ticket holder since 2002 and was a big YKW fan.   However, I'm a Falcons fan first and when YKW left, then I was all about moving on.  
Going into this season(2008), I was not on-board with the Matt Ryan pick(like many) but about a week before the draft I started getting more inspired by Ryan's NFL prospects - now I am a full-fledged "Ryan-iac" (just made that word up).   I have probably watched the NFL.com video of "Who is Matt Ryan?"  100-times (my wife thinks I'm crazy! maybe I am - "Falcon Crazy") and I have been very encouraged - think he could develop into Falcons version of Peyton Manning - that would be sweeetttttt!   Hope I'm right.    I also got some very, very nice "fake-thentics" of the Matt Ryan jersey - got three, black jersey, white jersey and red jersey along with the "old school" Falcons leather helmet hat - its hilarious - when I wear it to the stadium everybody treats me like I'm a rock star.    
I'm really llooking forward to 2008 - while it will be a challenging season - I think the Falcons got the right GM in Thomas Dimitroff and the right Head Coach in Mike Smith - as long as I see "progress" from our young players developing this season I will be "fine" - not so much worried about the record..........
