Wow..so Cleveland had a **** good draft  **** man

They really did. Not  just draft either, they had a kick azz offseason overall including taking advantage of houston's qb problem with the ozweiler 'trade'...

They finally did something right. So we looking at about 2-3 years before they compete again

Probably. A lot of that depends on whether or not Kizer can be an NFL starting QB....

but they seem to finally (gulp) be doing football things the right way...

If only Gordon could have stayed out of trouble. He would be a huge asset but gotta make another star (or at least try)

I know ya boi. And that's such a sad/confusing story to me....keep thinking there's a lot more to it than what is out there...

glad to see you back, BTW.

Why did Cleveland ****WIN****? w/ Caleb Brantley - not enough evidence......I am sure everyone got paid off some amount of money to make this go away.    Doesn't mean Brantley is not a slimeball.

From a football perspective they won big.  From a personal/morale perspective, they got away with taking a flier on a ****head and noted slimeball

well, in the end, Caleb Brantley paid a big penalty on his draft status and rookie contract - so maybe Cleveland benefits but it cost Brantley dearly - less money - probably had to payoff folks w/ his less money - so there is that justice.

Cleveland is loading up. Gonna be fun to watch, they are essentially a college allstar team at the moment.

I might still have to pick AL, Clemson or Ohio State over them though.....

Oh for sure.  He lost millions of dollars because of the whole situation.  Went from a $8 to 10 million contract to $450K.  Still, if he plays well he will get a big payout for his 2nd contract.

plays well AND keeps his nose clean.

I really question the intelligence of someone that could be that blatantly stupid right before the draft - on top of the violence and lack of morality, lack of self-control and lack of intelligence.

Yup.  Unfortunately, we live in a world where talent is more important than character and it's pretty sad.

Told my Pops - a Cleveland fan - that they were going to be dominant in AFC North after 2018. They low-keyed followed the 76ers' "Process" by depleting the roster, acquiring multiple valuable assets and salary space in order to build the team foundationally. While Big Ben and Flacco age, the Browns are gearing up for the future. It will work as long as they stick to the plan.

Raiders finally drafted good after Al.  Cleveland has a good coach in Hue Jackson.  He will build that team with a GM that will see the vision.

Just because he went to college, does not make him smart.  We have plenty morons in congress that have PHds
