Quinn/TD Pre-Draft Presser Tweets

Not a fan favorite pick? Sounds like Lamp to me, but I doubt the best offensive lineman on this draft falls to 31. They did talk about trading into the twenties, maybe we will trade up for a guard....

Thomas Dimitroff: We currently have the 31st pick in draft and we will like a lot of but not many prospects at this spot and probably will move up but likely move back... One thing is for sure, our draft pick will be a male, probably in his early 20s and may be black or white with a possibility of being neither. We really don't like any of the pass rushers in this class but we love 6-8 of them.

Don't forget that this may not be a fan favorite, but he could also be a fan favorite.

Of note, this was brought up by Dled, not by them. They just answered the question, and they seemed quite uninterested as well.

My suggestion: Ignore these comments. They mean less than nothing.

Interesting tells me Ishmael will be a cog for weakside LB depth and will probably still float between SS as well still I like the primary move to LB while keeping him in back pocket for safety

Quinn said that he's not going to be working with Ishmael at SS, wants him to acclimate to OLB full time

Would consider that versatility later, but wants Ishamel to fully master OLB before putting more on his plate

Well point being he probably isn't the primary backup SS anymore but much like he did last season at OLB can contribute in a pinch

Neal and Ish on field creates confusion. Ish can drop like a SS-DB and/or have Neal play like LB on certain plays even though pre-snap alignment it all looks the same to a QB.

Interesting to see different reporters tweet takes about the same comment. Everyone hears something different.

Nah, Quinn was very clear. Ishmael is a LB only.

Based on the "PASS RUSHERS, PASS RUSHERS, PASS RUSHERS" distractions at the presser, I'd say the target looks like Lamp!

No, that doesn't really fly. Don't read into this what you want to hear. Quinn didn't bring up pass rushers. He was asked a question. They talked about OGs later, also when they were asked a question about them.

Smoke and mirrors man, Don't assume anything

Interesting of note. Safeties were not originally a question by the media

Quinn brought them into the conversation himself, while he was answering a question about pass rushers.

though the media did ask a question about them again later on, which is where a lot of these answers about DBs comes from

TD said at the very beginning that his life would be a lot easier if they actually knew who they were drafting

Sounded like an old Adam 12 episode for a moment: Suspect is on the draft podium in a flashy suit with a Falcons ball cap. Suspect just gave two middle fingers to New England draft table then launched himself at the table. Yes, we have the Birds new Safety!

Did you hear it live, or have a link?
