RTG 4 Round Mock Draft 2017 - WHAT QUINN WANTS

Whats up everyone.  I went ahead and used http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/ .  Great site to mock a draft.  I had key players I wanted to focus on and I got them.  Anyways here is what the results were.

31: R1P31
S BUDDA BAKER
WASHINGTON

63: R2P31
EDGE CARL LAWSON
AUBURN

95: R3P31
DL DALVIN TOMLINSON
ALABAMA

136: R4P29
CB HOWARD WILSON
HOUSTON

This is the best possible Dan Quinn type of draft.

We get a FS that will shock you in how good he is in Budda Baker.  I am willing to go out and say Baker will be the most dynamic defensive player to come out of the draft.

Carl Lawson is the tough physical pass rusher, much like Ahmad Brooks.  He will be real nice coming off the edge with Beasley.

Dalvin Tomlinson is a run stuffer and gap holder.  He does a great job anticipating passes.  Not the pass rushing specialist but will help the team around him to pass rush.

Howard Wilson is the long corner who has great ball skills.  A corner Quinn  can work with to develop into a potential outside corner.

This is what I am talking about understanding toughness and grit.  You Falcon fans need to let go of the Mike Smith and Babs days.  Loving some guy with the last name Watt without even understanding where he fits on the team.   It's time to keep bringing in guys who will fight every game.  These men will all fight to the very end.  If you want a lesson on what Quinn wants, look no further than this mock draft.

While RG is still a questionable position to fill.  We still have Wes, Thornton and maybe Garland.  I think we pick up a player like Levitre that might be on the outs with another team and we swoop them up before the season starts.

In your opinion...

Budda Baker is probably my favorite player in this draft. Put him at nickel, put him as a single high FS, I think he'll be a star in this league.

Carl Lawson is a productive, tough, gritty pass rusher, but I don't think he has the length or bend to play LEO in our system. I think he'll be a good player in this league though.

Dalvin Tomlinson makes a lot of sense if we see Poe as a 1 year rental.

We're stacked at outside corner, so I'd rather we go another direction here (guard or linebacker perhaps), but this draft is insanely stacked with athletic boundary corners, so if DQ sees the value then I'd have no problem.

No 5th and 7th round picks? Here's a some guys you might like...

Jalen Reeves-Maybin (LB), Jonnu Smith (TE), George Kittle (TE), JJ Dielman  (OL), Cam Keizur  (OL), Cameron Tom (OL), Pharaoh Brown (TE), Robert Davis (WR).

Cant see us going S 1st round although am liking baker more and more.

Lawson has toughness but alot of injuries and not that flexable so think could do better round 2.

Dont know much about Dalvin but fine with the pick.

Would rather go LB in the 4th if we dont in third as we have enough CBs especially if you add Baker in the first.

Still lacking a OG but dont know how Quinn feels about Wes so I give the Mock a C.

yeah, I like Budda a lot.  Not a fan of Lawson.   My only problem w/ taking Budda is getting shut out of a passrush/edge player we desperately need - a GOOD edge player.

I like Reeves-Maybin a lot - he has had some injuries and is undersized, but if you take him late then he is a boom or bust that is worth the risk.

Quin said they will focus on the lines. Can't see they getting a free safety with their first pick. Those first 3 picks are going to be for the lines. 4th round and beyond depth and skill positions. Its All about adding to the foundation. Just like building a house. Got to have something to stand on first.

I like it.  Think you might be the only one (could be wrong) to have  baker mocked in the first. I've seen a lot with people taking him in the 2nd , I think he'll go around where you have him at.

Like that you went safety first - just the wrong player. Baker is too light to play single high for us. Howard Wilson is a fantastic prospect at CB. The Wilsons (Quincy and Howard) killed it.

A team could literally fill out their entire starting secondary in this one draft alone; we have to take advantage.

Dude I just don't think you can find an edge guy to hold it down opposite Beasley that can start anytime soon unless you're picking in the top 20... or get REAL lucky

you do realize there are tons of passrushers in the NFL that were not drafted in 1st round, right?
