I got so entralled  in this game I flipped to ESPN real quick and was like what the heII Duke was killingq UNC and it was a UNC blowout when I had left off

What a win tho. Poor Columbia that would have been a huge feather in their cap.

Busy day today as round 2 also starts between Pools A&B. Round 2 works the same as Round 1. The top two finishers between Israel, Cuba, Japan and Netherlands will advance to the semifinals. That pool will play in Tokyo

Pool C: Colombia vs Canada, 12 PM

Pool D: Venezuela vs Italy, 3 PM

Pool C: USA vs Dominican, 6:30 PM

Pool D: Mexico vs Puerto Rico, 9:30 PM

Round 2: Cuba vs Israel, 10 PM

WOW!! :o I went to bed early (like 3rd inning) and they were knocking around King Felix pretty good. It was surprising.

Colombia leads Canada 3-1 in the 6th. 

Julio Teheran 5 IP,  2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 61 pitches. Only run he allowed was an RBI single by Freddie Freeman.

Columbia beats Canada 4-1. Julio gave up an RBI single to Freeman in the 1st inning but that was it for the Canada offense. It's Columbia's first ever win in the WBC.

HOLY ****!!! ****!!! With nobody out in the 8th Andrew Miller hits Jose Bautista, gives up an infield hit and then a long ball to Nelson Cruz and DR takes the lead 6-5.

What an Atlanta way to lose. Can someone fill me in on how the WBC works? Never paid that much attention to it... What does the US need to do to advance?
