Ramos is reportedly willing to take a 1 or 2 year deal to rebuild value

Reports are that Wilson Ramos is open to a team friendly one or two year deal in order to rebuild is value in 2017 after the knee injury and then hit the market again in hopes of getting the big money deal he wants. Reports are that he could be back by May. If that's the cause then that certainly makes the Braves an option.

We could have a huge trade this winter. The Tigers are apparently in full blow up mode. They're reportedly willing to trade anyone and yes even Miguel Cabrera. The Astros are reportedly already getting in on the Cabrera sweepstakes. Houston plans to use Altuve, Cabrera's close friend, as a weapon to get him to waive his no trade.

Texas voters passed funding for the Rangers stadium. Gives the Rangers $500M of taxpayer money for a stadium.

Rays are reportedly listening on Longoria. The Dodgers are being named as a potential match if Turner bolts.

What reason do the Rangers have for a new stadium? Their current stadium opened in the 90s so what's the deal there?

That's a heated debate. The Rangers just want a retractable roof. That's the only reason. Ownership wants a new toy.

I'd hate to be those taxpayers.

It's the heat.  You cannot sit there comfortably as a fans from June through August.  I've been there many times and it is miserable, albeit it a beautiful park and I love the look of it.  They even spent millions on a firm to survey/engineer retrofitting a roof onto the stadium but it was cost prohibitive.  It is a shame they didn't have the hindsight to have put one in the plans with the original build, but that is the main reason.  I've also been to minute maid park where they do have the retractable roof and it just made for comfort for both the player/fans in an extremely hot environment.

Nat's talked with the Pirates about McCutchen back in July. Those talks could restart. It fell apart in July because of all the moving pieces. Pirates wanted Victor Robles and multiple other players.

Rizzo wins the 1B Silver Slugger over Freeman.

No surprise.

Yesterday I flipped on MLB Network and Eric Byrnes was on there and he made a great point. They were talking about the 3 finalists for the NL MVP and Brian Kenny was saying that as great as Corey Seager's year was, especially for a rookie, that he shouldn't have been a finalist over Freddie Freeman or Joey Votto. He said, why should Freeman and Votto be penalized because of being on bad teams? Byrnes then said, it's because the the media only pays attention to the guys on the good teams. He said every day coming into work and in the production meetings all season it's Corey Seager this, Anthony Rizzo that, Bryce Harper this, Kris Bryant that. Then we get to the end of the season and it's like, oh wait, Freddie Freeman had a great year but we didn't pay any attention to him so no one knows about it. So of course come awards season they're left out to dry.

Orioles already outrighted Jed Bradley off the 40 man

If he declares free agency I wouldn't mind getting him back on a minor league deal with an invite.

Freeman beats Rizzo in every single major offensive category except RBI and doubles (and they tied in doubles).

Exactly. He goes back to what Byrnes was talking about yesterday.

Cards plan to convert Rosenthal into a SP. The belief is the end result might be an Andrew Miller type. Be able to come out of the pen and toss 2 or 3 innings.

The de-evolution of the bullpen corps, having a relief ace that can be brought in when the game is on the line instead of saving him for the 9th inning, even if the game isn't on the line anymore. Like it was in the late 60s-late 70s. It's about freakin' time, and the Braves need to get on it.

No state tax, so all, counties are high already. Probably a hotel/motel, and a % on alcohol/tobacco or something. Would suck though for sure.
