I noticed at the State of the Falcons (which is nothing more than a pep rally) the word urgency was used a lot but in reality I'm not so sure. There was a lot of "we have won more regular season games than any team in the last 5 years type comments". While I am truly happy we were 13-3 last season (all except for the last game against Tampa where we should have started the 2nd string), it smacks of the same hollow add campaign the Atlanta Braves push about winning divisions while winning just one World Series as though we can't remember how they get ***** slapped in the playoffs year after year.
I really wish there was an urgency in the Falcon FO. Someone needs to speak up & address the pass rush and quit selling the DE draft picks as the answer or Cliff Matthews. Rookies genarlly don't dominate the DL especially 3rd or 4th rounders and we all know and saw how effective Mathews was.
Wake up TD and Arthur you're making a mistake that could be fixed by signing a Richard Seymour or Abe.
BTW, where the heck was Nolan, Koetter or King Arthur Thursday. I'm not going back to one of those weak pep rallys if you dont' talk some real issues (not the fuking stadium--I could care less what McKay has to say about much of anything)!

Look, everybody knows we needed pass rush. The Falcons have made the decision that it is NOT as big of a concern as we all seem to think it is. I recall in 2008, half this town and board were in love with Glenn Dorsey. Falcons went another direction that proved to be right.
While I would have loved 2 DE's in this past draft, the Falcons made another decision. Its not your call or my call. It not worth the "sipping the koolaid" tag either. If they end up winning and back in the playoffs as one of the top teams in the NFC, will you not be right on board and pulling for them? If So, then what's the problem?
