or we just stay on this path and hope for the best .. It would be 5 years under their watch . That's a pretty long time in the NFL . Blank wants a championship . Now most will say a change will only hurt that chance but I can say the same for a 5 year trend as well

I think Smith is a very good football coach . I can't see how Blank would fire him without firing TD . I think they are tied together . I would hate to see Smitty go . I think the players respect him / play hard for him . I think he is tough nosed and is brash . He sticks up for his players . Yes I'm one of TD biggest critics but I don't see a way he is fired and Smitty stays

I think it would take at least one losing season for either to lose their job.

If we do have playoff success in 2012, will you stop whining, and keep Ryan/TD's name off your posts? Also, you don't fire your winningest coach after another winning season, due to a playoff loss.  The GM maybe, but not the coach.  If the discrepencies are found to be on the personnel side, but the coach was able to overcome and put together 5 winning seasons, the onus falls to the GM.

Thank you. We have never been this successful and people are ready to run them out. You can't be serious swift. Who do we get then?

2013 ... season

As crazy as this might sound .. Smith and TD would be better of going 9-7 and missing playoffs
then losing in first round from job standpoint

Blank can understand a down season . I don't think he can stand another playoff loss without a head to roll

My first inclination to this topic was more hatred towards the FO, but after thinking about some of the responses and just thinking about it in general, regular season winning will only do so much for you.  You have to have some form of success in the post season to be considered an elite coach/FO.

With that being said, having a coach who has yet to suffer a losing season is a rarity nowadays.  Smitty could continue to have regular season success until he decided to retire and only MB GMs would be calling for his head.

Sure Mr. Blank wants a championship, don't we all?  Smitty and TD have brought this franchise from the depths of mediocrity and have made us relevant, regardless of what that 4 letter company up NORTH says.

I don't want Smith out . I want TD out but I think they are tied together . I hate to see Smitty get fired but if it takes TD out . I will have to come to grips . There are a couple of coaches out there that I would be interested in

You want TD out because he didn't take Dez. I get it. Blank isn't going to fire the man who built this team. "Fans" are the only idiots who think TD should be gone because he hasn't found Victor Cruz yet turn around and say we need to cut Meier because he hasn't gotten a chance. How do we know how good Meier is?

So who do we get at GM?

Of course we bring them back!

When we start having back to back losing seasons again, then get back to me with this lame-@ss question.

I want Kevin Abrams .. Giants assistant general manager and salary cap analyst . He knows way more about the cap and contracts then TD

100% if Falcons get to NFC champ game ..  and it's a well contested game even in loss
They will be free of my criticism ( for next 3 years)

is that fair

McKay shouldn't have a job in first place .. He got a bump to President
so you are saying TD doesn't handle contracts ? lol yes he does he just goes to McKay for advice
cause McKay knows more

If we don't show up in the playoff game and lose its a possibility, but if we atleast make it a competitive game then no they'll still be here.

So report back after the season, that should be plenty soon to have this kind of discussion.

I'd say McKay gives TD the gameplan.  I've never thought Dimitroff was truly the guy doing contracts.   Obtaining a new stadium can't be what takes up all of McKay's time.

Yeah, how about a moratorium until then?

Challenge yourself to talk about something else besides the same tired 3 arguments about those two we've heard hundreds of times.

Way to be conservative.
