Possible Free agents

Matt Forte - still working on trying to get a long term deal ..Has talent and is good at catching ball out of backfield

Ray Rice - arguably one of the top 3 rbs in league . I dont see him seeing the light of day .Ravens still working on long term contract

Rashard Mendelhall - tough runner inside the numbers ..Not a complete package but will get the tough yards

Shonn Greene-   hasnt lived up to potential . Has had some nice playoff games but has not broken out or can possibly be relied on ...** He is one player I would keep my eye on if he would come cheap  and we could  employ 3 rb scheme like Saints

Reggie Bush - showed potential last year  that he could be more then a 3rd down back ..explosive player that  put on turf can be a game breaker

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2013  NFL  draft  RB class

Marcus Lattimore-   good young talented power back ..Runs  high  at times...wouldnt be a bad pick ..I see a  similar back to  Shonne Greene

Michael Dyer - potential is  there   but a possible cause for a character  concern ..def worth a risk at the next level ..

Giovanni Bernard  **   IM  really high on him ..I think he  can possibly be  in LT mode

Some lesser known names that intrigue me:   Rashard Jennings, Jonathan Dwyer, Mike Goodson, Chris ivory.

I really like Bernard. He had some really good vision behind an alright offensive line and he has breakaway speed.

I like that one a lot. I wouldn't mind Reggie Ball, of course, but he'll me than likely be a first rounder and we're probably gonna end up spending that on a DE or something.

EDIT: Montee Ball, sorry. I'm still thinking of the QB out of GT.

Chris ivory.

Not happening. After these coaches see Ingram ain't worth $hit Ivory will rightfully start like he should.

Giovani Bernard is a beast. I remember watching him kill georgia tech even though everyone ran all over them. He might not come out next year though. He will only be a redshirt sophmore. He will probably wait a year and be the top back in 2014. I would like Kniles Davis and you know TD likes to draft players with injuries. lol

Montie not Reggie. We should use our 1st round pick on a RB or TE since our pick will be 32nd. (hopefully)

After the picks they splurged on Ingram and the loss of a pair of 2nd rounders, the Saints will try to find any reason to give the job to Ingram.  They shouldn't, but with Sproles making good coin, N.O. will be hard-pressed to give Chris Ivory the opportunity he'd get elsewhere.

Yes but he's also 230 LBs and can run a legit 4.3, the one year he stayed healthy he looked better than Lattimore.

For Bernard I like him as well, but I feel he's more of a Doug Martin type of back, he does a lot of things well, but no one aspect of his game blows you away.

I'm really high on Dwyer myself, if we can't land him in FA then I think that Knile Davis or Dyer will be two guys we have the most interest in.

He had 120+ carries behind the best interior OL while never having to faced a stack box and he didn't once break 4 YPC. He's also lost some of his balance due to ankle and knee injuries.

I dont know about Dyer, but i like Dwyer though. I think Knile Davis will be a beast if he can stay health. We have to get a tight end in this draft unless Palmer is just beasting this year and has about 500 yards this year.

If you mope around SR we have Ingram vs Ivory debates all the time. Everybody loves Ivory, he would have had 1,000 yards his rookie season if not for Injuries.

Our worst fear is Ivory going to the falcons because its honestly likely to happen. If he goes elsewhere and can stay healthy he'll be a top 7 rusher at the least. Also he's a restricted FA.

Sadly this is true. I can say at least 75 percent of saints fans want Ivory over Ingram and the rest are blinded by that Hiesman and where he was drafted.

Losing the draft pick isn't that big of a deal because Goodell would have took it if we would have kept it.

G-Dawg is right on the money with this, as usual.
I wanna see Lattimore in a Falcon uniform.
Dudes got the whole package.

My sleeper draft pick at RB is Razorback Knile Davis.....

Good size, 4.49 speed, definitely not afraid of contact, good hands.

I know his ankle injury might scare some people off.....but I like this guy.

Looks like every body loves this guy but TD never gives us what we want.

He's had a major college injury......that means he's already on TD's radar.
