The reason I asked this is because I am sick and tired of hearing all you "expects" talk about some of our players or players in the draft like you "know" everything about them. Also, I love how some think they should be the OC for us and that Koetter is garbage and blah blah blah blah blah. Anybody can be a fan and pull for their team but some of you arm chair QBs and fake GMs make me sick.

To give a little back ground on myself. I was a very successful High School player that is currently playing college football. I will not say my name because that is just pretty weird especially over the internet. Im not Matt Barkley or anybody crazy like that but I have knowledge of the game from a high level and know about quite a few players. Ones that I play with our have played against.

So basically I was just wanting to see just how many of your fake GMs or Arm chair QBs actually know the game or even played a snap? Or were you in the band.

I get on here all the time and see people talking about god knows what when in all honesty they have no clue what they are talking about. I have been a member here for 12 years and have had probably 4 different names. I don't post much anymore cause im tired of reading half the crap people say.

Just out of curiosity: does playing at a certain level (i.e. D1 or the NFL) make you a more qualified contributor to the forum?  I say no.  But I also understand why you're asking the question since there are a plethora of lazy-boy GM's around here.

Just throwing this out there, but many of the best coaches in any sport never played at a high level. And the best players that chose to coach (Jordan, Gretzky) were terrible at it. So no, you don't have to play or be good at a sport to understand how the game works and who is/isn't talented.

High school was the highest level of competition. Almost broke my neck. I promised my mom I wouldn't play anymore.

(I played running back in high school. It was 3rd and 1, the play was a dive. The hole was closed so I bounced to the outside running right. At that same moment the LB blitzed from the left. (I didn't know he was blitzing.) While running right I saw a hand reach the front of my facemask and yanked my facemask.  My neck was pulled completely around while my feet were still running straight. Laying there I could not feel my feet or hands. After about 5 minutes I started to feel my toes and fingers again.)

I was a TE in middle school.

I did not play in high school because I kind of stayed in trouble often.

Anyways I played high school ball for a few years. Strictly a defensive player. Safety mostly. I was a rugby player playing football.

Just as I expected... A forum full of wanna be's, bench warmers, losers and pu$$ies! The one's that didn't comment on their level are even worse and probably talk the most $hit! HILARIOUS! This forum makes me ashamed to be a Falcon fan. All this $hit talking about who stinks and who is gonna one day be elite and you idiots weren't allowed to play? HAHAHAHAHA!!! And the guy that said you don't have to be a player to know the game, well, you are right. You don't ALWAYS have to be a player. But I guarantee you the MORONS in here weren't players and would have never made it as a coach either. A forum full of LOSERS! I can't say that about all of you, some of you actually have great comments that actually make sense and I'm sure you know who you are. But like I have said before 85% of this ENTIRE forum are FULL OF $HIT AND NEED TO STFU and have a seat!!! It's so embarrassing!! I'm ashamed!

And you? Are you Peyton Manning? Can I have an autograph? Your post is irony-filled, it's hilarious.

My highest level was Frederick Douglass High Atlanta GA.

My dad was the first head coach at that high school when it opened after a legendary career at Howard and Turner.

I also played BBall and golf.

My brother was a beastly BBall player on the 1973 BBall team that went undefeated and lost the State to the SW Macon team that featured Norm Nixon.

Same school that produced Jamal Lewis (BAL), Ahmad Carrol (GB), Anthony Blount (NYG), Stanley Pritchett (PHI/ATL), Akeem Dent (ATL) and more.

Had to quit after my third concussion. Was an as beater that had too many collisions.

Well, with the way you started off the post in that angry way, keep in mind that you might not get too many truthful responses from the people you are poking at.

I have never played organized football in my life. Only backyard football with my friends. Playing organized football at a high level is pretty hard to come by here in Denmark, and it is extremely expensive just to play on a mediocre level. That said, I feel relatively comfortable with the game as I am always hungry for knowledge, and I have read Pat Kirwan's "take your eye off the ball" and regularly scour the internet for more football X's and O's wisdom, because I've never felt that I now so much that my point of view is the right one. But, I'm by no means a very knowledgeable football mind. And because of that, I try to stay away from coming across as a "know-it-all" type of guy on these boards. Hope I've succeeded with that.

Since you seem to be pretty into all of the football X's and O's, I would like to hear your opinion on many of the matters discussed on these boards. What do you think about Ryan, our OL, and who should we pick in the draft?
