your link doesn't seem to go where you think it does. but again, is there proof? or just some unnamed sources?  ome blogger writes a story stating some 'league insiders' told him something. and no one has to stand to scrutiny. non-story designed to gather hits.

Maybe it's you. It is titled Source: Sean Payton to File Appeal.

It goes on to say :Goodell said Monday that while Payton definitely cannot "coach from home," he would not necessarily be banned from all contact with the team.

I'm assuming that if Goodell didn't say that, somebody would have pointed it out.
So I seriously doubt that this was a "rumor"
