I have no problem with him leaving Tennessee for LA. But lets not pretend that he's any less of a scumbag than the rest of them. He just happens to be your scumbag.

If these professional athletes were paid to represent these schools then things like this and Cam Newton would stop happening.  I'm not a Florida fan by any means (UGA) but I came from an upper middle class family and was broke in college, now imagine coming from a lower class family and being there.  These guys are basically on an island with no money for years away from their families and what do they get in return?  Maybe a shot at going pro and a few of them might get a degree, and even that option can get yanked out from under them at any moment for any reason.

It's time to stop pretending these guys aren't professional athletes and pay them a living wage while they're playing for these schools.
