What's not hard to understand?  Their false accusations?  You think just because white supremacy existed in this country in the past, it's ok to accuse every white conservative of being racist?  That's like saying because the Black Panthers were largely leftists, that every black liberal is racist... but you wouldn't like that would you?

Steve and snake have repeatedly claimed that the current administration is responsible for increased gas prices, and that Obama should lower gas prices by interfering in the machinations of the market for petroleum. They state that increased drilling will lower prices, which has proven to be false.

The logical extension of this complaint is that the government should interfere in the market in such a way as to provide cheaper gas. In every instance I can recall, Steve, in particular, has claimed that more government intervention equates to a greater role of socialism in government. People have pointed out the obvious hypocrisy of their request for government intervention to lower gas prices.

Their response has been to continually assert that, contrary to factual evidence, more drilling on US soil would bring about lower prices in the US market. They also fail to account for the fact that the US currently pays far lower rates than the rest of the world, and that any petroleum produced, refined or transported through the US would go into that world market, where higher prices dominate.

They then go on to suggest that the US government should drill for oil on public lands, which would, ironically, be the government controlling the actual means of production.

It's also worth pointing out that amid these cries for government assistance, snake recently purchased a large, inefficient SUV.

I would hardly call it "more prevalent." It still exists but not the point it did in the past. Bigotry is alive and well and once people understand the differences between the 2 (racism and bigotry) then more intelligent conversations on the topic can take place.
