Well I was in favor of this. But after seeing how it's playing out I think MLB made a mistake. The Pirates and Braves are in a dead heat. Which would be great if there was just 1 WC spot. But with there being 2 spots it's not so great. Reason being? The Cardinals are already 4 games back, Dodgers 4.5, Diamondbacks 6 and Mets 8.5. The NL WC race is shaping up to be completely anticlimactic at the end of the season.

I didn't expect much drama. I don't know why MLB did. If this was in place last year then the historic collapses of the Braves and Red Sox wouldn't matter because they'd still make the playoffs. Wouldn't make as good of a story for the Cards

The drama they want comes from the 1 game do or die playoff although I still dont agree with this the drama of a weeks long battle for 1 spot is better to me

And that drama sucks. If the Braves were to win 100 games and the Cardinals 90, the braves could have one bad game and be eliminated

Needs to be a 3 game series.  The team with the highest record or the one that wins the tiebreaker could host all 3 games so there was no travel needed.  I like the idea that the wild card teams have to use their best pitchers to advance while the division winners get to set up their rotation.  It puts a little more meaning into winning the division.

And that's pretty **** stupid of MLB. Look I know we as Braves fans hated what happened last year. But as a pure baseball fan that was one of the best days of my life. On the edge of my seat trying to watch 4 baseball games at once. The drama was awesome. It wasn't artificial like the drama MLB wants from a 1 game do or die playoff. Guess they can't get past what happened with the Twins and Tigers in 2010. But they need to. As great as that game was it was just 1 game. 1 game doesn't beat weeks of drama building up.
