The more I see this guy, the more I like.  6'3, 343 pounds and strong as an ox (44 reps).  This guy would look good on our dline, commanding a double team, and allowing Babs, Walker, or Peters to be one on one with the guard. Lack of penetration from our DTs killed us last year.  Address oline in free agency and dline in draft.

I love the guy too, but unless we have a top 10 pick, we're not going to be able to get him.

Unless you want to move up to the 15-20 range of the first round it's never going to happen.  Meaning it's never going to happen.  He is a breast though.

Yes he would. Would love to get him. But he will be a top 20 pick. Probably could sneak into the top 10 if a team falls in love with him

Dude was SICK yesterday wasn't he? Anyway, he worked his way into the first round. Plenty of D-Line depth below him too.

he was one of the standouts of the combine.  he definitely earned himself more money during the work outs.  no way he is there when we pick but i wouldn't be mad at all if the falcons picked him up somehow.  we could run him as nose in the 3-4 or have him as our ngata in the 4-3.

Even if we had the pick TD wouldn't get him.

does anyone even have him ranked that high? I dont think I have seen anyone with him ranked as one of their top 5 DT prospects while watching the combine coverage.

Dont let his combine numbers alone lead you to believe he will be amazing. Where he ranked prior to workouts is where I would look at him getting drafted.

Devon Still out of PSU may just be the best DT IMO. I see many have him ranked 3 or 4 now, but during the season many said he was the best in the nation. That kid absolutely wreaked havoc all year on offenses. He should def. go round one, but if he dropped to round 2, I wouldnt be against making a move to get him.

Yeah man, but you know our team. Getting Poe would be like finding the Holy Grail where this team is concerned.

I know Mayock had him in his top 5 DTs prior to the combine. I think he said he was a 2nd rounder, possibly a borderline 1st, IIRC.

I had been on this guy for at least two months now. He wowwed me even more TBH. Thing is, he won't be there when we pick, he looked out for himself yesterday and will be the buzz on draft day MTL. Even if we had a pick, we don't BPA. We cherry pick and he'd get picked around I'm sure.

mayock said he is more like a 4th rounder... No help on the d-line and got doubled and tripled team all the time... Only had 7TFLS and 1 sack last year...

He is talented tho... To move that fast at that weight is crazy...

How do you get that he is a top 10 pick? Lol

Luck, Griffin, Brockers, Claiborne, Blackmon, Kalil, DeCastro, Martin, Coples, and Richardson would be the first 10 picks in a potential draft before Poe breaks top 10.

Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, and Matt Kalil are the only guys on that list that I think have solidified themselves as top 10 locks. Dontari Poe was already gaining mid-1st to late-1st stock and with his combine he's probably going to jump guys like Michael Brockers and Devon Still. It's called Planet Theory and NFL teams buy into it all the time. Especially at DT, where we've seen players shoot up into the top 15 due to their performances at the combine in the past 3 drafts (B.J. Raji, Tyson Alualu, and Marcell Dareus).

I almost hope he does just so he isn't sitting there when we draft some guy who is intended to back up Blalock for the rest of his career...
