But if we sign him, they will rejoice like they wanted him all along.

Let's say he was a Falcon up until this point and gave us the same exact career numbers and everything, would you yell for TD to make him priority #1 to resign. If yes, then you want him here to some degree. If no, then you don't want him here. Simple as that.

For what Mario Williams can do (play 3-4 positions on the DLine) he would be more worth it than signing Peppers (older and only playing that RE spot). But, just in the same breath, it would be beneficial to pass on him and keep our players and spread the money around the roster.

Nope.  Not that it would happen anyway, the Falcons can't even afford to sign their existing FAs as it is....even guys they really need to keep.

When the Falcons signed Dunta, I said I didn't like him, and I said it was a bad move.  Some people agreed, many disagreed.

Mario Williams is a better player than Dunta Robinson, but he's not anywhere near being the best 3-4 OLB or best 4-3 DE in the league, and I don't think he'll be paid as such.

We'll see.

The Texans had the number one defense in the league last year without him, and it's not like they had a defense full of new guys out there.
Wake me up just imagine if he had have played the whole season.

If the 1st 5 games with 5 sacks are anything to go by how is this guy a miss at OLBer at that.

So with 30.5 mill in cap possible cuts Ovie and Sackmaker giving us another 6 and with maybe Ryan and Dunta restuctures we can't afford can we are you sure you have looked over all the options here with those above moves theeres a possiblitity of having 35-40 mill $$$ in  cap space.

You grab MW a LT and a NT theres 20-24 odd in cap 3-4 to sign draft picks leaves us 10 -15 mill in space to sign the rest trust me if the FO went this way there is enough cap space to get who they want its just how creative they want to structure contracts is all.

In response to you VEL my biggest thing for getting MW is the fact I like the idea of how many ways he can be used he's easily the most versitile guy out there and he'll upgrade the run D also,Versitility and the fact he's a huge upgrade in talent with regards to what we have had and got on the roster at this time.

Yeah he might not care about the amount of money now... But lets see when some team throws 100 million+ at him. We'll see who he sides with then lol.

The Texans added JJ Watt and Brooks Reed to that defense. And they played great. Not to mention Wade Phillips is a great coordinator

And people that keep bringing up Jared Allen need to do research. He had ONE double digit sack season in KC before he was traded to Minny. He did great after he left. But I guess Mario can't do that smh.  Edit two seasons not one

Quick look at NFL.com says Super Mario had two seasons with double digit sacks. And 1 at 9 and another at 8.5. Jared Allen had two seasons at double digit sacks while at KC. Super Mario will explode on a line with talent around him. He is a top flight DE.

Yep but if you like reading alot some of the boards comments you'd think different and for some reason they want to discredit the guy for what reason I don't no but this guy is going to be the best DE in the league in 2 years for sure.

I wanted both those dudes. Now were running some 3-4 supposedly, you gotta laugh/cry at the irony.
