FYI

Free Agency was supposed to end tonight at midnight.  However, if you make a bid prior to 7am Monday (3/12/12) I will count it.  I meant to give a 24 hour warning before FA ended, but completely forgot last night.

This took me a lot longer than I thought it would.  Too many interruptions.  But anyway, I need everybody to go to this website and verify that I have all of the players that you are bidding on listed here.  If there is anybody you think you are supposed to be bidding on and it's missing, let me know ASAP.  I do not have all of the bid off updates from today (rescinds/upgraded bids, etc.) done yet, so don't worry about those.  I just wanted make sure I have all of the players that were in the bidding and the players that were won before the bid off done.

Also, there is a running total here of the bids you have placed.  A couple of teams have gone over their cap with bids (Denver, Philadelphia, New Orleans) and I need you to adjust bid off bids accordingly, either rescind or lower the bid ONLY enough to bring you even with the cap (you can spread this cut over multiple players; i.e. $250,000 cap hit cuts to 3 players to lower your total by $750,000).  You must get under the cap ASAP or I will remove a player that you are in the bid off for to get you under the cap.

Have the Carolina Panthers been active since the start of the IMD?

Robb -- can you start taking over for the inactive teams?  The Ravens for example got murked in free agency, and these teams won't be able to make picks, move up/or down in the draft, or field calls from teams looking to move up.

Happens every year, some teams don't do the FA and just like to do the draft.

I know it does but can those teams have owners assume them now as opposed to during the draft.  We should really have a roll call or something.  The Ravens let Ray Rice and Ben Grubbs walk.  There's no way an active owner doesn't at least franchise one of them or make an attempt to keep them.

Jets and Browns...  I think I can safely speak for the other players in the game on this point...   we would greatly appreciate you adjusting or withdrawing your current "placeholder bids" on the multitude of players you each have remaining under that format/approach.  thank you.

I was thinking of volunteering next year to do all the pre-draft transactions for the GMs that don't participate just so there's more of a challenge for those that enjoy that part of the game.

Only one player is missing for Houston Texans and it doesn't really matter much as no one else put a bid for him - K Neil Rackers

I was going to make the attempt to PM each of them to see if they still planned on participating in the draft phase.  If someone wants to send them a PM (please just 1 person) to remind them that the draft will start on Friday morning (This is a change to our current schedule).  Let them know that we noticed their lack of participation during the free agency part of the game (which is fine), but wanted to make sure that they still intended to participate in the draft phase.

Post in here if you are willing to do that (and when you are done) so that everyone will know & we don't flood people's inbox's with messages.

There are still 3 players who I am undecided on, I'm looking into them closer & will probably hit those bidders up asking for a number so we can go to the tie breaker, but that's not definite yet.

FYI, please do not PM the people I asked you to above.  I have just PM'ed each of them.  The good news is that all but one have been active with the last 12-15 hours.  The one who was longer than that was still within the last 2 days.  So maybe we won't have anyone drop out this year.
