So this new craft beer store opens near my house and they have 20 taps and sell "growlers".  My first visit there they explained to me what a growler was.

You buy this jug kind of thing and re-fill it with DRAFT beer.  You get to keep said DRAFT beer at home and drink it when you like.  You just have to drink it up within 2-3 days of opening the growler.  That said I've been drinking up some AMAZING beers on draft at HOME.

Anybody else do the growler thing?  I'm totally sold on the concept now, where have these been all my life?

Last night I cracked open a growler and enjoyed some Racer 5 IPA.  EXCELLENT!!!  The last growler I had I got Rogue Double Mocha Porter.  Yum!!!!!!

Growler + Awesome draft beer = Beer heaven

Very interesting.  Wish we had something like that here, I love trying new beers.  In Auburn there was a gas station that had a tap, you could take milk jugs and get them filled with bud light or natty light, can't remember which they had.  Not sure if it's still there.

Steve, we should discuss beer and guitars far more often.  Talking about politics and religion isn't polite.

You might just have something like that around.  Look out for it.  Once I tried the one by my house I found out there were like 3 or 4 more in town.  Just do a google search on beer growler and your city/town name.

Those are much nicer and agreeable topics for sure :)

Hmm, it's Sunday and I've yet to make a beer run on Sunday.  Now seems like a great time to do just that...

Ahh, yes!  Nice to enjoy some personal freedom and an ice cold Yuengling while watching football and eating pizza rolls!

Growlers are fairly new to the Southeast, but they've been around for awhile. Nothing like refilling a big *** jug of beer.

Polished off my "Racer 5" growler last night.  Sooooo good.  I'm now VERY spoiled.  Gonna have a hard time drinking bottled beer again unless it's really excellent stuff.

Wife re-filled my two growlers for Valentine's day.  Tried Great Divide Imperial Stout last night.  Like the Kalamazoo Stout I had tried before, it was pitch black and pours like pancake syrup.  Slow sipper...

Still love Racer 5.  Fantastic IPA.

Also have a growler of Stone IPA waiting.  That's what I drank during the Falcons-Giants playoff game but at least the beer was good...

Love Stone IPA... Haven't tried the Ruination yet but I've heard it's a helluva lot more hoppy than the regular IPA... Probably get some this weekend...

Yes it is...  I'd have to say that I like Racer 5 a tad more though.  I'd give Racer 5 a 9.8 and give Stone IPA a 9.5 on the beer scale.  Check out the guy's beer reviews that I posted.  I like his down to earth reviews and he actually drinks the whole beer unlike other reviewers.  And I'm jealous of his fridge.

Polished off the Stone IPA last night.  It was fantastic!  I might have to up my grade on it to 9.7.  Time to refill my growlers today.  I'm thinking Racer 5 IPA and Avery Maharaja Imperial IPA.
