Me personally, I'm a diehard Falcons fan, been following for years and years, have all the Falcons gear, follow the team during the off season and during the much of the season much of my mood depends on how the birds played the previous Sunday. With that being said, I went to a game in 08, the one where we beat the Saints. It was fun, but I probably wont do it again, the experience just wasn't enough to draw me back. The location sucks, traffic sucks, gas prices suck, ticket prices suck and I never know if I am going to drive three hours to see the Birds get blown out or squeak by with another win. I think Atlanta fans are lacking because the city has no culture, no tradition and no history (not literally) to rally around. New Orleans has tons of tradition, history and culture, NO has Mardi Gras and the French Quarter, what does Atlanta have besides a high crime and poverty rate? When I went to the game very few of the fans I met and talked to were actually from Atlanta, most were from somewhere else in GA or a neighboring state. I would love for the Falcons to build new stadium, but it is going to be wasted if they decide to build it in the middle of tat **** hole again.
