That stadium was empty and I saw giants fans left. Giants were going to lose when fourth quarter hit. But I saw giants fans staying and a lot of three saints fans leaving.

I don't ever want another thread started about how some of our fans in the done leave a few minutes early. Apparently everyone does it, and the saints did it way worse tonight and they had a monday night game which was important to anyone who plays monday night games.

The Stadium was Emptying when there was 3:30 mins left on the clock and a 30 Point lead on the board..   What more was there to see? we chanted our chants and made enough noise to disrupt a lot of play's on the GIants side, something you rarely ever see in The Ga Dome... Worry about yourselves so you can get on our level one day son.

I wasn't trying to be negative on just the saints. I was just stating a point. and last night I was able to show everyone who was watching the game.

I guess you have never been to the SUPERDOME in New Orleans... Those Giants fans did the right thing to stay until the game was over....  If they would have left early the Saints Fans would have "WHO DAT" them to death... Also, you traveled to New Orleans for Monday night game no need to rush back to the hotel, they paid at least $100 for the tickets so they should stay until the end.  Trust me, they didn't stay to cheer on the Giants.... So to avoid the mad confusion, the best thing is to stay in your seat until everyone has left the building trust me I know first hand...

Besides showing love for our team we do not and i don't recall ever seeing Saints fans attack any opposing team, in fact we do the exact opposite, we buy our opposing losers a drink, invite them into Block parties or private parties and show them a good time..
I have seen Falcon Fans, Giants fans, Even the Much hated Dallas fan's Mingling with Saints fans and indulging in what the city of New Orleans has to offer perfectly fine repping their team colors, we even hang the Opposing team flags in the quarter sometimes, i have seen Falcon Flags Flying off the Balcony's many times.
So despite what you hear from  people who make up awful lies about our fan's and our city we are very kind to other's, especially when we beat you..
I know of a few times where there was arguments breaking out into a fight but other Saints Fans either break it up or fairly jump on whoever side is overwhelmed the most or wasn't the first to raise their hands.
During the Game is all that matters when we are defending our team, after the game all that mess stay's in the Dome.

Before Judging, actually visit the city, stop listening to our haters, they hate because the are brought up and trained their minds to do so,  New Orleans has some of the most Humble people on the planet, especially our real Die hard fan's that were raised Saints fans and knew the struggle before the storm.

you know I keep hearing this. in all honesty a lot of saints fans have been nice. that is why I made that thread about saying sorry for my stupid actions from katrina-calling y'all aints. but even if y'all were the worst or most hatered team, still I should have never said anything about katrina.

in fact I am pissed about Katrina because it brought a lot of y'all up here and y'all stayed. WTH? lol. Katrina should have never happened. just curious how is everything with the city now. all I hear from the announcers is "wow hurricane did this", but they never say how the town is doing, and they leave us to believe the city is still in ruins and flooded.
and I will say this, when it happened my house and my parents house were open to anyone who was trying to get away from that storm.

So anyhow, I just got hurt at work pretty bad. "tietze syndrome". and the doctor won't let me work for a year. so I have found myself with an oppurtunity to come down there. I really want to see my falcons win and all, but I am really interested in seeing if this is true. Maybe y'all do have real fans and not bandwagon fans.

If you know anyone who is selling tickets to that game or you want to meet up. send me a PM

Lets go there.... New Orleans Fans or shall I say residents have no understanding of the 5 foot rule or the touching... I was told that it's something you guys do and don't realize your doing it... Being from the Dirty South you keep your hands to yourself along with respecting the 5ft rule...  No I can deal with the WHO DAT but don't touch me and stay out of my face... For the past 8 years, I've never been to New Orleans and been able to walk out that Dome without some one touching me screaming WHO DAT...

I was in Harrah's Casino eating dinner last year before the game and this SAINTS fan came and jumped in my face while standing in line asking "Why am I in his city with Falcons Gear on"... Now mind you this was the Friday night before the game....  I've been to Huck Finn for lunch and they purposely had me wait for 45 min before giving me a table then it was in the back corner... and no it was other seat available... Of course I clowned and got moved.....

So don't paint this pretty picture about Saints Fans and how nice they are, that BS...  It's been known for the past 20+ years, Falcons don't like the Saints and the Saints don't like the Falcons....

THE RILVARY BETWEEN US IS AS BAD AS THE DOGERS AND THE GIANTS..

Only difference is....Falcons fans get to games late, then leave early when their team is getting embarrassed. I'll never forget how  empty that circus tent looked midway through the 3rd qtr when the Packers beat you into submission.

Saints fans arrive on time, create havoc on opposing teams, then leave in the middle of the 4th when we've blown a team out.

You shouldn't draw conclusions on an entire fan base from two incidents. Saints fans are known league wide as one of the nicer fan bases in the league. I went to the Saints-Falcons MNF last season, and even though I hate the Falcons I didn't have any problems with Falcons fans. There was one guy that didn't wanna shutup but he was real quiet once it was evident the Saints would pull it out.

If you want to know how any city is doing after a Storm do not watch the Weather Channel or any news Channels, they are only told to give you the bad new's, the Fox Cam's usually do a good job panning through the city, New Orleans is one of few cities where they actually have Camera people actually on foot taking inner city close up shots, most other cities that don't have anything to look at they simply do a blimp or helicopter birds eye view over it..

The city is doing great, still lots of work to do, you have to really go out looking for any left over storm damage to find it, there's some but unless you go into some neighborhoods that haven't been rebuilt yet you wont notice it..
All the Tourist spots really never got any of the full extent of the storm which helped the city bounce back economically.
Right now there's a Large Swath of land that is being grabbed by the state for a VA Teach Hospital for LSU..  Preservationist have done all they could do to slow or stop it, but the state won and homes have been moved to another are or dozed..  Im actually glad they are going through with the Biomedical corridor which will bring in Engineering Students and eventually companies which translates to jobs,  This is something Houston, Alabama and Atlanta did a long time ago, New Orleans is just now doing it, this should create new industry down the line and bring in a new breed of conservative pupil.

New Orleans Thanks mostly to 504ward and The Idea Village has turned into a Business Hub and have been named Entrepreneur of the year for a couple of years now
...  A lot of small and big businesses are being thought up, financed, and stationed right in the city, you can check out their websites to find out more.

Various other parts of the city have either upgraded or been repaired, there's a lot of street work to do though..
City Park is magnificent right now and they are currently building a PGA Gulf Course out there along with 4 New Soccer fields, a huge dog park, a big area designated for Voodoo fest and other events, a massive Tennis area a gigantic Sculpture park and a nice size amateur gulf park.
All of the old theaters that rotted even before Katrina have been bought out by Broadway South and Hollywood South Tax Credits and are being renovated or restored.
Canal street is getting a huge facelift along with various new companies moving in which includes a massive Louis Vuitton and Gucci Department store, Riverwalk Mall is being upgraded, all along the river is being planned for a huge and very long recreation area which includes Jazz Walk of fame-Similar to Hollywood walk of fame,  This will also include an interactive Water fountain and museums and Hotels..
New Orleans recently landed a Floating Skateboard Park as well, it sits on top of the Mississippi River, kinda the first of it's kind thought i'd mention it..
A lot of Old buildings are being converted into tall modern Hotels which got a lot of heat from preservationist and residents but i guess money won.

So yea New Orleans has bounced back and gotten even better.. Gotta Get the crime under control which is #1 on our minds right now, but with New Orleans population growing and being diversified right now we have a new breed of people to control along with the old still fighting for territory.

So you take one fan and toss all fan's into the bucket with him?
Wow.. if i took the good number of Falcon fan's that still put on a Micheal Vick Jersey and blast me with a bunch of hateraid comments about my team and my city everytime i go up to Atlanta i think we might actually have another civil war started...
You have a lot of people that have a very slick mouth and a lot of low down comments, most are whispered enough to hear but never repeated when asked to say it again..
I think if you want to analyze which city has the worst people for Football fan's Atlanta really does take the cake, not only does most of your fan-base not know much about football or proper stadium etiquette like simply knowing when and when not to make noise, ya'll still stoop down and raise the old dead Katrina Jokes, thats like a 4 year old Child telling you the same Joke over and over after the first laugh hoping to hear people laugh at it again..

**** if i wanted to bring up an old city's destruction from long ago i could easily bring up the great fire of 1917 or the recent flooding of 2009, or if i want to be really sick minded, the Terrorist Bombing of Centennial Olympic Park 1996..  But i refuse to stoop that low or lower my human standards like most here have been "Raised up" to do.

Arriving late, leaving early and not cheering your *** off, are all inexcusable. I noticed this at our game on Sunday, and I've seen way to much of that for years now. We as Falcons fans do a good job at the big games, but the mediocre games are just pathetic IMO.

On Sunday, I noticed people just talking up like there was no game on the field at all. People hanging out on the concourse yapping it up with their hommies. It was an exciting game, yet I noticed many around me just sitting on there hands, playing with their phones, or just acting as though they were somewhere else.

It was Thanksgiving for crying out loud... have of the people at the game got tickets from family members or friends... I had 2 extra tickets I couldn't give away...  Every game isn't going to be a NO or TPA game...

I admit I was late to the game due to the new and improved (lol) line changes... And for once I stayed to the end.... If the game is close I will stay but if were winning (blow out) I'm dipping out to try and beat the other 69,999 folks trying to get home...  Just because you leave early doesn't mean your not a true fan....

Lets be for real, fans are fans when the team is "WINNING" it wasn't to long ago that the Superdome didn't sell out, it wasn't to long ago that you were called the AINTS, wasn't to long ago that fans came to the game with brown paper bags...  So don't come to me talking about you have the greatest fans...

It wasn't one word said about Fans when the Falcons went to the Superbowl, It wasn't one word said about Atlanta Fans when Vick was hear. The Dome sold out every game when he played, fans were in the dome for kickoff until the final whistle.  We had our bad times just like any other team and it happen at the worst economic time in history...  Lets make a choice, season tickets with a mediocore team or pay bills... Some of us keep our season tickets and that was to be expected...

Yes New Orleans has a strong fan base, why?  Majority of New Orleans residents were born in LA... So they grew up knowing nothing else but Saints football along with the symbolic emblem for the city...  New Orleans just got a basketball team back in 1987-88, so before that football was all you had in sports...  Compare that to a city that 45% of the people are from other cities including NO... Now throw in other sports such as Braves, Hawks, Thrashers/Flames, GT, UGA and the AU center... our intrest can be in any sport..

New Orleans has a rich tradition, the best thing the Saints did was adopt the city emblematic symbol the Fleurdelis...  That symbol is on every corner post, building, sign, shirt, cup etc.... So at times it may appear that the entire city supports the Saints (not saying that it doesn't) but in actuality they are supporting the city...

I really hate to say this but the Katrina jokes comes with the trash talking... every year we go to Carolina and we still hear the M.Vick dog barks, we hear the Bill Campbell jokes, we hear the Gay city jokes (its like YO MOMMA JOKES)... so in return I give them the Ray Carruth topic...

And You still have not addressed the "Touching" of Saints fans nor the 5ft rule...

I did not see anyone around me talking on the phone, etc. but I did notice the massive amount leaving early.

it is sad IMO how our fans are.

for me I think of how much I paid for the event. that is enough for me. I stayed through the packer playoff game. yes it hurt, but I was still trying to cheer them on. I was cheering until the last play. call me stupid or whatever, but I am not giving up on the Falcons. and when they are up by two touchdowns, well it is time for me to enjoy the moment.

EDIT also it upsets me when there is still time to get a touchdown, yet people still leave. I can understand fans leaving when we are neeing the ball or about to start to knee (I still don't leave).

And You still have not addressed the "Touching" of Saints fans nor the 5ft rule...
wow that is a very good thread. you are right.

the only thing I do not agree with is talking about katrina. just because of the things I said were very uncalled for. it wasn't a regular "your momma" jokes, I wen over board and down right wrong. plus Katrina happened years ago. and also the drunkin idiot would upset me and I would steep down to his level by saying a harsh uncalled commit.

but how yuo mentioned there symbol, lack of teams, etc. is very true. my wife saw a mat at my mothers house that was a fur-de-les and said "that is the only place it deserves to be.....on the bottom of my foot". LOL. yet my mother had no ties to being a saints fan, it was because of the meaning of it.

one thing you forgot to mention is the vicodin. so sad to see Sean Payton going through all his legs pain, I know the said with his drug dealing they will not allow him any pain medication. Posted Image furthermore it was sad that Sean Payton is the leader of the saints and can't take a hit and had to get screws and was out and the team performince went down just like Sean Payton. (now that is some great smack talking).

As far as the Touching of the Saints fan, you should have BEAT HIS ***! and if i was around i probably would have helped you, i think i mentioned that similar thing when i replied to your very first post and i quote:

I know of a few times where there was arguments breaking out into a fight but other Saints Fans either break it up or fairly jump on whoever side is overwhelmed the most or wasn't the first to raise their hands.
During the Game is all that matters when we are defending our team, after the game all that mess stay's in the Dome.

I was at the game in Houston yesterday and they started to leave early as well, not in droves but some still. They talked alil trash heading into the stadium, but repectfully cheered their team on instead of putting attention towards me. I was impressed!

Reliant Stadium kicks the Georgia Dome's as*! Food was off the chain! It didn't even take an hour to get in my seat (Section 639, row Q, seats 21 & 22) from accross Fanning and the train tracks! The anouncer was electrofying to say the least as he had the crowd responding and charged up. They have a stat for opposing teams false starts, what! On first downs: say it is 2nd and 5, "so and so runs for an 11 yard gain for a Texan's" and the crowd responds with "FIRST DOWN" and the official signal, WOW!

The Texan's have never made the playoffs yet the crowd was awsomely loud on every play their "D" was on the field! Rise UP Atlanta!!!  Support your dang TEAMS!!!
