Designer suits, blond hair, jewelry, custom robes, big house, big side of town, 2001 Space Odyssey. A man of refined and delicate tastes.

Chest chop. "Woooooo!" The Figure Four. The Four Horsemen.

An immoral, immortal fast-living "ladies man." "The dirtiest player in the game." "To be 'The Man,' you gotta beat the man!" "Woooooo!"

The man needs no further introduction. If you grew up in the 80s and 90s and didn’t grow up on Ric Flair, then you was probably the type of guy who was playing hop scotch and hula hoop at recess. In my generation, on Saturday afternoons, if you weren’t in front of your TV from 5:05-7:05PM watching NWA World Championship Wrestling on TBS, then either you ain’t have cable or you was a lame. Only 2 men ever owned the Omni… The Human Highlight Reel and The Nature Boy.

In 1975 he was in a plane crash which broke his back in three places and, at age 26, was told by doctors that he would never wrestle again. Flair, however, returned to the ring just six months later. Fast-forward to 2011 and Ric could still beat your azz and take your woman.

Ric invented the concept of “U mad cause I’m stylin’ on U.”

Ric is one of the few public figures who is loved and appreciated equally in the white community and the black community. Ric bring us all together.

That guy in the video (the one in the middle) I saw him at the Braves store at Turner Field this year.  I was like "I know that dude" but knew he wasn't anyone famous.  Now I know who he is; WCW guy.

He's kind of a ***** and he's about 5'3".

My dad took me to a local high school gym for NWA in the mid 80s.  Main event was Ric Flair vs Terry Funk.  Became a Flair mark that night.

The Four Horsemen
Main article: Four Horsemen
In the spring of 1985, the tag team of Ole Anderson and Arn Anderson began aiding Ric Flair (whom they claimed as a "cousin") in attacks against Dusty Rhodes, Magnum T.A., and Sam Houston. A few weeks later, the Andersons interrupted Houston's match against Tully Blanchard, and the three villains combined to rough up the youngster while sending a message to the rest of the NWA. Shortly thereafter, Flair, Blanchard, and the Andersons formalized their alliance, calling themselves the Four Horsemen, with Blanchard's manager J.J. Dillon also coming on board. Upon the group's inception, it was clear that the Horsemen were unlike any villainous alliance that had ever existed. The four rule breakers immediately used their strength in numbers to decimate the NWA's top fan favorites while controlling the majority of the championship titles. Over the years, there would be various incarnations of the group, with Flair and Arn Anderson as the two permanent members, while a number of different wrestlers, including Lex Luger, Barry Windham, Sting, Sid Vicious, Paul Roma, Brian Pillman, Chris Benoit, Jeff Jarrett, Steve McMichael, Curt Hennig, and Dean Malenko, have held the other two spots in the Horsemen.

Flair reached elite status when he began referring to himself as "The Nature Boy" in order to incite a 1978 feud with the original "Nature Boy", Buddy Rogers, who put Flair over in one encounter.

Throughout his whole career to the present day, Ric adopted the "Nature Boy" gimmick from Buddy Rogers as a tribute to him. Even using Rogers' own signature move the Figure-Four Leglock as his own, Flair even went as far as doing his own variation of the Buddy Rogers strut aswell.
