@UGA_Stats: #UGA's 2012 offense led the nation in "Total Yards Per Play" with 7.09. More than Texas A&M (7.08) Oregon (6.60) Alabama (6.95).

If this doesn't get Dawgs fans excited about our offense for this coming season, I don't know what will. If our defense plays a little better than they did last season, these Dawgs will absolutely be a national title contender.

yep and we did this with 2 frosh rbs, an offensive line that had a true frosh starting, and missing 2 of our best wideouts in marlon (who is a raven btw.. congrats to him) and bennett.  we return 10 guys, get bennett back, add rumph, the entire oline returns, and now those rbs are sophomores..  oh yeah..

Words cannot effectively convey how great it felt to be the ones who kept Florida from sniffing a national title last season. And then they go and get just handled by Louisville. Awesome.

I have no idea what to expect from the Gators in 2013 though. None.

My guess is they will be a lot like last year. You know the D will be good because of their athletes and Muschamp.. But offense, that is a whole different story. I don't think they will be as successful as last year, but the D will keep them in games as always

See I'm thinking their defense will not be great and their offense will be a little better.  But really I have no idea... they are replacing as much talent as anybody, so it's anyone's guess at this point.  New players can be really good players, especially when it gets to October and those early season mistakes have been learned from.  Heck just look at South Carolina vs Vanderbilt last season... they looked like trash in Nashville but then destroyed us like we had no idea how to play football.

Well we shall see.  I expect another tight game regardless as it seems our rivalry is back to much more even ground... but I do expect us to win again in Jacksonville.

“Last year we had 28 guys on scholarship on defense, which when you start breaking the numbers down, you should be around the 41 number,” he said. “Thinking that if you have 85 guys on scholarship, three specialty, divide that in half, you get 41. We were at 28 last year on defense, which is a low number. Once we get into August, we’re going to be into the 37 to 38 range, which means we’re closer. What that does is it tells you, you’ve got more guys on special teams because you’ve got depth. You’ve got more guys that can play in rotation, which can keep guys fresh. I think that’s a big thing, particularly in the front seven.” - CTG

https://twitter.com/...7035008/photo/1 If this is a new color scheme for the helmet I absolutely hate it.  Why do they have to mess with things that everyone loves?

Those were the helmets from the pro combat uni's against Boise a few yrs back. Those aren't a part of the new uni's, I'm sure it's just a novelty item now to show off to recruits.

The kids like it, and it didn't mean the world collapsed. I wouldn't say we should wear those particular power ranger uniforms in the future, but I still think we shouldn't shut it down and wear the same old thing every game until the end of time. It will have been two years since any uniform shenanigans by the time we step on the field against Clemson.

i love the last few paragraphs..  will and uf fans love to say "they gave away 6 turnovers" which is crap..  uga took away 5 turnovers and one turnover was due to a bad exchange, but we were there to jump on it.
